should hear more stories like these

Junior Club in Focus - Western Strikers
Over the last 5 years there has been a growing level of participation by seniors with the juniors.
Good job strikers.
I have always said that "will participate within junior structure throughout the season" should be a necessary clause in every senior contract.
If this small clause was adopted by every club, then it would impact the game and really start to galvanize the relationship between the two areas in the club.
1/6.... but still 6. :)

great positive story from western strikers, many clubs have been doing this for many years as well,
if western stikers really want to continue junior improvment a great place to start would be to take on board what the ffsa is wanting all junior clubs to take on board, that is playing 4-3-3, having the goalie play the ball out to full backs and playing a possession based attaching, skillful, style of football.
watched one of their junior teams (a great example of why points should`nt be relevent untill the u17`s), goalie booting the ball out to no one, defenders booting long balls, no possession, just boot and run,.....guess what?.. they scored,......... they hit the front and then the coach plays 6 across the back to hold out for a great win............................?( playing kids down from an older age group also did help, much to the disgust of two parents)
you only need to look at what divisions most of their junior teams are in to see that type of coaching mentality wont get you anywere as the players get older, smarter and go up an age group....many clubs are taking the 4-3- on board, continue on your win at all cost attitude and you will be left behind.

just an observation.

It seems you've missed the point in the phrase "should hear more stories like these"

Just an observation though.... :clown:
