Out of curiosity when does the transfer window close? And if you haven't registered for a club but wish to play after deadline day can you still register or have to wait until next open window?

If you have not registered for a club yet this season I know you can do so right near the end. A few years ago Cooky registered for us for the last four games after not having played soccer at all for a few years.

The transfer window closes at the half way point of the season, before you start playing your return fixturs. As East17 wrote though, if you havent registered at all for the season you are free to register after the halfway point.

The deadline is 30th June, half way point or not (though conveniently falls that way this season)

PLAYER TRANSFERS
A player who wishes to cancel their amateur registration with one club to join another club, must complete
the following:
• The new club must arrange to complete the Player Transfer form, which requires the previous club
to sign.
• This can only be done by 30th June.
• If the Player Transfer form is completed by both player and club, the previous registration is deregistered,
effective immediately, and the player may register with another club.
• If form is only signed by the player, de-registration is effective seven (7) days from the date that the
signed form was lodged with the SAASL office (unless a grievance has been initiated by the
previous club)
