Coach walking out at half time

Post by iriducibili81 »

Rumor is that Beograd coach walked out of the change rooms at half time yesterday as a statement of resignation. Can anyone from Beograd confirm or deny this? And what is the reason behind this childish act?

A few years ago we did one better, one of our players ran off the pitch mid game, got in his car and drove off

Your rumour is correct...as for it being a childish act well that might be somewhat harsh unless you have the whole story.... i believe the coach was overshadowed in the half time talk by a player/official and felt his services where not really required if he wasnt able to make the decisions for which a coach is appointed.....make up your own mind

p.s no i am not from Beograd

Naahh, this is so much more fun isn't it? Perhaps you can tell us what happened, you are obviously a Beograd player seeing as this topic is a little touchy for you

Plympton had one as well. We'll call him Rory. He cracked the sh!ts half way throught the game. (wasn't happy the way the game was being played) Got changed. Got in his car and proceeded to circle Plymptons home ground, beeping his horn while giving the finger. He prob done 5 laps total before he drove off never to be seen again. Was the funniest thing i'd seen in ages & it still brings a tear to my eye, thinking about it, laughing my head off.

I have heard the same thing and it was the president that undermined the coach, in front of all the players, which sounds like he didn't really have the support he required.

This sounds more like it. It is very easy for people to judge others who appear to be childish or to be angry about something without knowing the full story themselves.

Thats good.
It’s about time the Beograd amateurs went to Div 9 and they put all their concentration and effort towards the main club.

The only thing I will be saying on this matter is that the coaching arrangements at Beograd is our internal issue.

We will work now to replace the coach that we still hold in high regard and always will as a mate.

He is always welcome at our club and will continue to call him a good friend.

At the end of the day, he didnt feel like he was achieving what he set out to achieve, so made the decision to move on. He has his reasons, they are all valid and we respect the decision.

We have big shoes to fill, but hopefully we can source the right person for the job.

Yes, we stuffed it up by undermining him and all the speculation on here is 100% correct. To save face though, I'll just write, "no comment"

Everyone is spewing he's gone because we rate him highly

He is always welcome at our club and will continue to call him a good friend.

Everyone is REALLY spewing he's gone because we rate him highly

Everyone understands what went down on Sunday was unacceptable but we respect him so much, we won't question his decisions to leave, mainly because, we all agree with him.

The next guy better have his cabernet together because everyone still wants the old guy
I have used my media training to decipher this into plain english.

$16,000 for a degree - i knew it would eventually come good.

I don't understand how you can respect someone that demonstrates his lack of respect for the 11+ players by walking out on them at half time. I would've made damn sure the door hit him on the way out. Obviously had his own intentions at heart and not the Clubs. :clown:

Unless, of course, if the players agree with the coach?
