Anyone from Western Strikers want to make a comment about why they forfeited against Inter an hour before the game?

reserves cup

Grove vs Vale 2-1

cabernet game of football... very scrappy. Both of Groves goals were very soft, particularly the 2nd. 1st was a chipped in free kick (from a very soft foul), keeper came off his line and didnt get there and marking was loose - grove player knocked a simple header in. 2nd was a mis-hit cross that had the keeper back peddling and he couldnt control it, somehow it fell in.... Ours was very well taken by young Nicky Burbrudge, beating a couple on his way into the box and composing nicely to slot bottom corner. Again the Grove keeper kept them in the game before they took the lead. Made 2-3 very good saves in the first 15mins. We really shouldve been 2-nil up before Grove had even had a shot. Our lads are very disappointed with the result.....

Farm way the better side without showing it on the scoreboard. MP gave the ball up way to easily and struggled to create any decent passages of play in 90 mins of football. Credit to MP for a very good effort defensively but never pressured Farm at all.

All smiles up at PHE

Reserves
PHE 3 Downs 1
Very efficient display, Downs couldn't complain

Firsts
PHE 5 Ignatians 2
Similar display, wonder why they can't hit that form in the league
Best wished to the PHE lad stretchered off with a broken ankle just before half-time. It came as he attempted to prevent the Ignatians first goal.

Fulham 3- Jets 1.....When I left.

Good even game in the first half until Jets lost there striker to injury.

Some baffling decisions from the Ref but Fulham took their chances.....

Jets gave Fulham a good run and only some poor defending let them take the game.

Inter v Knights (reserves)

1-2

Great fighting win from Knights under the pump in second half but held on well

Fulham were not a 3 goal better side in my opinion the way the play went....

I will say though the Fulham supporters are a quiet mob....2 goals they got I thought it must have side netted because
of their reaction.

Pontians 3
Wanderers 2

Wanderers scored after 3 minutes Pontians equalized just before the break

Pontians took the lead after 10 minutes from the penalty spot wanderers scored second against the run of play. Pontians player sent off with 10 to go but Pontians score the winner with 2 minutes to go

St Peters OC (2) - it finished 5-0, but I think we gave a good account of ourselves.
