Metro Stars U17
Metro Stars U17 well done in conceding only 6 goals so far this year and on top of the ladder.
Re: Metro Stars U17
Hasn't one of your parents already pulled this stunt. Obviously a strong defence, but distinct lack of striking prowess up front compared to some of the 2010 and 2011 U17 squads.Tony90 wrote:Metro Stars U17 well done in conceding only 6 goals so far this year and on top of the ladder.

Adelaide City
GF: 75 (3.41 goals/game)
GA: 21 (0.95 goals conceded/game)
GD: +54
Para Hills
GF: 92 (4.18 goals/game)
GA: 23 (1/04 goals concede/game)
GD: +69
Adelaide Blue Eagles
GF: 68 (3.09 goals/game)
GA: 24 (1.09 goals concede/game)
GD: +44
All 3 of these teams banged them in for fun last year and had pretty mean defences.
Much less dominance this season with a more even playing field amongst the top 8 sides (5 points separates 2nd to 8th )

Mate pull your head in still six games to go if you are still top at end of season the you can talk crap and tell us how good your defence is but don't forget to add you lack a striking power and how you went in the cup final

Any one know who the new coach and team manager is now?
The previous one left all of sudden,
Anyone know why?

The previous coach made a mistake, and paid for it with his job.
Enjoy, and remember Karma, it has a funny way of coming around!

OK, you want to keep things going that's fine.milkyway wrote:.....

What still seems incredible is that no one at Metros apparently knew what was going on, even the Junior Coordinator?
Or were the coach and team manager just convenient scapegoats?

Seriously guys...........as stated before by many, kids do read this forum and I am sure it is REALLY time to move on. There are only a few games left this season lets display the mutual respect asked of our kids when they play the game and not be so eager to sling mud. Leading by example is the only way to teach our kids the right and correct way to conduct themselves.

No one at our club in official positions knew that they were not telling the truth. All our club knew was that these two people were saying the player did not take to the field. As a club we backed them.
The other 3 people actually never lied, and the DC backed their version given by those 3 people. Those 3 people stated that they were watching the 15s and 17s at the same time, in their view the player never took to the field but can not confirm 100% that he did take to the field as they were moving between fields. So from my understanding the ffsa accepted that they didnt lie.
It then came back to the only two people who were present the entire match. end of story, club has moved on.

all five of the Statutory Declarations stated clearly that each person wasIm not being a smart alec, but then why sign a stat dec if you dont know???
a) "present for the entire duration of the game",
b) that they "know the player in question well", due to various situations,
c) and "at no time did the said player take part in the game"
so I cant see how that can be deemed as "not lying"!
that being said, I guess it's up to the club & the Fed's to sort it out, officially,

Re: Metro Stars U17
Is there a win-at-all-costs culture at this club's juniors?
Not referring to this incident, but at juniors games the Parents/coaches/hangers on
seem to take things too far when it comes to the match result.
