Does anyone know for sure how the leagues are set up next year.
I'm mainly interested in the under 12s from this year moving to under 13s next year.
Do the top 3 from each zone, south, central and north make up the top division of under 13s next year?
Cheers

Depends on which club you are, whether you're seniors are in prem or state or no league, whether your committee is self-appointed, how much you charge juniors, whether that includes a tracksuit, whether you have a back up supply of vodka cruisers, who your coaches are, how well your president sucks up to the establishment, and which way the wind is blowing.mancity wrote:Does anyone know for sure how the leagues are set up next year.

Does ANYONE know the competition format for juniors next year, let alone the important deck shuffling transition from U12 to U13?

There used to be more than 3 zones.themessenger wrote:that's how it has worked in the pastmancity wrote:Does anyone know for sure how the leagues are set up next year.

Based on central having 10 teams, which are generally stronger
North having 8 teams with less strength across the division
and South with 7 teams, possibly weaker again...
could be 6 or 7 from Central, 3 from North and maybe 1 or 0 from South - and that's when the arguments usually start

I would have thought 3 from north and south and four from central.
Nice round figure, or is that too sensible.
Anyone know how they did it last season?

From memory; 3 from each zone, with the strongest zone adding 4 teams.mancity wrote:I would have thought 3 from north and south and four from central.

Re: Season 2013 set up
Going on current team numbers in U12 JPL if 3 from each zone plus best placed 4th go to Div 1 as per this year then there are only 14 teams left ie 7 each Div 2 and 3 .. dont think that would be desirable - so can't see the best placed 4th being included. ... currently u12 Central Div has 10 teams North and south both only have 7 (excluding Skillaroos girls)
... 7 in a division wouldnt not be too good either so perhaps a two div comp would be the way to go ?

Some others on here just like to make up stories to sound knowledgeable.
