For your sakes I hope you do too. At some stages you were flapping like a seagull last season.

It's an amateur club ...I don't reckon many would have goalkeeping coaches

Hullsy kind of took me under his wing for a while. Though I am hoping for some form of coaching at the new club.

You can't teach goalkeeping....it's a thought process as much as a skill.... :D

I'm only 20, some form of mentoring or assisting through the process would be beneficial you'd think.

We were lucky enough to have a GK coach volunteer some time, for few sessions last year. The GK really enjoyed it, showed them some drills they could do themselves.
They need to continually work on their skills, just as all players do.

A mentor is an example and a guide...can be a field player or coach...doesn't have to be a goalkeeper or teacher.
Roy Ainscough was a great mentor for me when I was 17-18 playing 1st team....but he was a very strong on field player
Robbie Parks was a mentor for a brief period...I was able to witness his great work ethic in goal.
Focus on strategies to minimise any weaknesses you have and build on your strengths.
Some good keepers have great reaction times, some physically dominate their area, some are great at judging angles, some have excellent distribution, some eliminate chances by organising their defenders well....rarely, all these attributes come together !

You make a good point, but someone to work on my weakness' would be great. I had a few guys at the grove who took me in and helped me out but they won't be with me next year. So
I'm trying to make sure that wherever in end up there will be something close to a mentor there already.
