ferdinand
Are the FA going to charge him for inciting the crowd?
What an idiot, you score a late winner away at your derby. Where's the last place you celebrate. Hopefully the FA charge him with it.
Idiot deserves all he gets.

How can you say that about the effort? It was accurate and hard enough to hurt, I'd say it was a very good effort.ozzie owl wrote:No one deserves to be hit by a coin, gutless effort by the spectator.
Re: ferdinand
I'm honestly not just saying this because it's a United player.
Why do we expect players not to go berserk when their team scores a late winner in an important game like that when they would have endured abuse from opposition fans for the entire game?
If we accept that players nowadays have to expect pretty disgusting abuse from fans then why are we supposed to think that they won't give it back in a situation like that? Are people honestly saying that if it was them in the same situation they'd behave in respectful manner towards the opposition fans who have slaughtered them for the past 90 minutes?

Re: ferdinand
It's a good point but using your own point. Ferdinand can't wind up opposition fans and not expect something back.Jimbob wrote:I'm honestly not just saying this because it's a United player.

Well 13 undefeated had to come to an end at some point, at least I didn't choose my team by looking at the league table.El Capitano wrote:Don't indulge this idiot, he's still ButtHurt from his teams hiding to Ipswich. He can post as much crap as he likes, he ain't taking the shine of this win!
Re: ferdinand
Not really. He would have been badly abused for 90 minutes, he then gave a bit back by goading their fans.God is an Englishman wrote:Jimbob wrote:I think opposition fans should take it on the chin instead of throwing coins

Are you saying the City fans shouldn't have to put up with that disgusting behaviour from Ferdinand and were well within their rights to start hurling coins at him?

I'm not saying they're were within their rights to do it, but bottom line is if he hadn't been over there winding up the city fans then it wouldn't have happened.
You can't deliberately wind people up and then whinge when they get would up.
Re: ferdinand
Where Rio was celebrating was where the United fans were.
Anyways respect to Joe Hart for stopping that pitch invader who was after Rio.
The game was great, United deserved it they always looked in control but city have that knack of not doing anything and the. Getting in the game. It wasn't until the last 15 where they decided to play.
And once again ppl say United get all the calls... Shoulda been 3-0, young was never offside, and Evra penalty too... I don't care about these now that we won, but to them opposition fans that say everything goes Uniteds way, well no it doesn't

Agree with the offside, but so close that you can understand them getting it wrong. It took replays and the that line thing to even show. it. Evra penalty - NO WAY!Le King wrote:Where Rio was celebrating was where the United fans were.

If it was in front of the united fans then it was even better shot, or did united fans pelt their own players with coins?

Re: ferdinand
i think the linesman has a better view the the camera angle in most cases, there is a fair bit of room for error with the line across the screen, close call but you cannot argue that it was deffinately offside. No penalty, toure used his body well and evra went down under the challange - city could have equally had a penalty with ronney tugging on nastasics arm on the corner.. thought city dominate for a good portion of the game, dont think you crossed the half way line prior to your first goal, and we always looked like scoring in the second half. Poor selection cost city, tevex was a must to start over balotelli. bit of a gap now, but united were 8 points clear with only a few to go, last time around. we have a tough run of games now, so i think we could slip further behind, but think we'll come over the top again.Le King wrote:Where Rio was celebrating was where the United fans were.

I disagree, look at the replay and is was onside
Anways
i do agree with ur team selection. Silvas name was the 1st i was looking for on the city team sheet. But when i saw nasri and balotelli starting, i thought ok we have a good chance here. Nasri is a little whinging port, obviously cause he doesnt get game time. Mario has to be sold, Mancini has to show hes the boss and sell him in Jan. When tevez came on, he and aguero looked much better upfront. Although tevez should have seen his second yellow for his kickout on Jones
I thought De Gea did well, punched a few crosses and he also pulled a great double save which unlucky for him led to the goal, and his save at the end off the crossbar was great. Showed he should be ahead of lindegaard

Ferdinand's never been very bright...celebrate with your own, don't incite the opposition fans but how dare Rooney incite them by earlier also by wandering over to take a corner of all things. Hope the FA charge him too!
Cracking game...ref made a couple of glaring errors for both teams, but overall I thought he had quite a good match considering the pressure and atmosphere.
City had their chances, United took theirs. Long way to go...

Why is it you will condemn fans of other clubs when they do wrong but not when it's one of your clubs?

Re: ferdinand
All this about Ferdinand stirring up the man city supporters is crap!! If you watched the game Rooney was getting pelted by coins when he was taking a corner; way before this incident !!
Re: ferdinand
Thats a very good point. But the witness that happening then head straight over to the exact area it happen from Rio was silly. But a bit of blood always adds to the drama of the day.downslowman wrote:All this about Ferdinand stirring up the man city supporters is crap!! Love Rio's tweet. "Cheap fans only throwing 2p coins should have been a £1!"
Like with the pisstards rivalry its always better with a villian like Muscat. Sometimes I feel some peoples love for their own club is only just stronger then their hatred for their rivals.
Re: ferdinand
It's been reported that it was a euro that hit rio... Apparently man city supporters have no use for them in Europe this year
