will you be taking photos as well for the local gallery, now that you have the Sigma lens?

Nah unfortunately not. I am already trying to do too many things. My wife and kids will string me up if I spend any more time on football.

Might take in the occassional event - doing a couple Ad.United games would be interesting.

Maybe footballnews should get photo accreditation at the A-League games so between us we could cover a couple games during the year.

that would be nice... i am looking at getting a 2.8 lens so that i can get in some night games (i hope)... also might do some school football over the next few weeks..

but seriously... i would love to have a look... see how it compares to the 100-400 for sharpness and focusing speed

thanks admin... very impressed with the lens...

got some good results... have to be right on the ball at 2.8 though...

but love the soft backgrounds it gives at 2.8

Pictures came out great. The 2.8 adds that extra bit of sharpness.

subject looks sharper i think becoz the background looks softer... the subject is more isolated... i was pretty happy with how they looked
