Nominations to the cup haven't closed yet, so the draw hasn't been made I'm guessing.

Bit strange to still be taking nominations the week before matches.

Surely clubs need notice if they are hosting.

I think the issue was the 'open invitation' to teams to take part in the higher cup. I've seen a provisional list and no team outside of Prems / Res have nominated for that cup (including the Div 1 team that made the semi last year).

I imagine clubs will find out tonight or tomorrow.

Dear All

After receiving feedback from a number of clubs regarding the Senior Cup Competitions please see the attached 2013 Nomination Form and confirmed format below.

Two Senior Cup Competitions will be conducted in 2013:
• Adelaide Airport Cup
o This competition will be compulsory for all Premier Division teams to participate in and the team is not required to complete a nomination form
o All other Senior Divisions are eligible to nominate into this competitions from Reserves through to the Collegiate League

• Community Cup
o This competition is open to all senior teams from Division 1 through to the Collegiate League

All teams from Reserves through to the Collegiate League can select weather to nominate into the Cup, it is not mandatory. Only clubs who complete the nomination form by the deadline will be included in the competitions

They have given an extension to nominate i think and i have heard it should be drawn today.

I thought I've read numerous times on here that they themselves thought they could match it/beat premier teams - best opportunity to take that chance and challenge...?!?!

They were the ones that made the semis last year, not sure why they wouldn't have another crack (or be forced to).

This community cup draw is ridiculous. How will teams in division 3, 4 and collegiate have any hope in beating teams in division 1 and 2. I thought FFSA was all about being fair in womens football, well clearly NOT, being fair is letting teams in division 3 and 4 at least have a chance to play at Hindmarsh. It will be interesting to see how many teams forfeit, surely the fine and a 3 nil loss is better than a 15 nil loss and breaking the confidence of a lot of these players, they are in these divisions for a reason. I don’t see why FFSA always change what’s not necessarily broken..

And cup round second game in...WTF!!

Note that the teams aren't being forced to play in the cup... They actually have to nominate to be a part of the Community Cup. So if they choose to risk a hammering, then its up to them. Nobody is forcing them into anything.

I understand that we nominate for the cups but come on first round play teams from there own Div and then see how teams play each other in the next round. As for putting club up against club what is the point of that... Ridiculous to say the least.
