Interesting you say that. Out of the ones you don't like.
You have a son who was at one club, is now at another.
Your best mate is coaching at the third with your nephew playing there too.
Another odd post by you and you multiple usernames.

At least these clubs have websites.
And to my knowledge they were among the first to have them and keep them up-to date.

Re: WITHIN THE FFSA WHO HAS THE BEST CLUB WEB SITE
Is it important for clubs to have websites these days ???
Most clubs would communicate through facebook and other social media sites

I would think so, as a source of info, Social Media is for 'breaking news' but a website is for history, future games, stats, etc
Whats wrong with you?
Its either indigestion or this forum, and I hope its indigestion
Why?
Because at least I know that will get better in a little while

Social Media is not very social as far as I'm concerned - it's more of an opinion based format that is quite often full of inaccuracies and slanderous comments.
I'll stick to websites, thank you!

Re: WITHIN THE FFSA WHO HAS THE BEST CLUB WEB SITE
True at least they do have their websites and well done. Perhaps I have over criticised other clubs as in fact it is correct some don’t have any that is true. I only looked at around 12 clubs not alland the idea was comparison to Campbelltown Budapest where my family played, sorry had to get that in where there is nothing about Budapest, well limited. Finding Northern Demons had a good historic report back to southern Italy or heritage of migrants, this took the interest as much as design and general information.
Anyway the point was this semester, my argument regarding marketing where a governing body controls process to levels of design for all clubs such as website design and not the content. to add to my interest other areas of marketing where as such the A-League had Reebok as the shits sponsor and design. Which is better a more regulated approach or freelance, hence the post.

If you've never worked on website design, update and maintenance, well, it takes longer than you might think.Bomber wrote:Someone at the last AGM was earmarked to supposedly tidy it up, renew everything etc etc.

I recall in many posts the concept of the 'volunteer'...hard working and dedicated...websites are no different. Even web administrators have to find the time to do things. Basically, it's just another 'job' that has to be done (on top of all the other jobs that come with running a football club).
Maybe your web administrator, like others, has more than one thing to do.

Re: WITHIN THE FFSA WHO HAS THE BEST CLUB WEB SITE
Fair call, but 6/7 months? I thought gurus in the field were bit more in tune with it all, but that said, I have no knowledge of how "advanced" the extent he/she is aiming to have the site - that may be the issue. Not whingeing, just curious on its progress, so will address it at next meeting maybe.on-side wrote:If you've never worked on website design, update and maintenance, well, it takes longer than you might think.Bomber wrote:Someone at the last AGM was earmarked to supposedly tidy it up, renew everything etc etc.

Re: WITHIN THE FFSA WHO HAS THE BEST CLUB WEB SITE
Yes good remarks and that was my question, asking is it better to have a template developed by the FFSA where you complete the holes.
Mindful that some like there own format and happy to design
Do you prefer having your own identity freelance style where to do as you like or a template format.
What are the pros and cons was what I was addressing and if there was any marketing advantage

Guess some of the clubs would be very thankful that it is not you writing content for their website, because they would be in serious trouble!
But you do raise a valid point in as much as the FFSA providing practical support to clubs by contracting a design company to develop a website for all FFSA clubs. Pity you chose to start this thread by having a dig at three clubs and label all as being crap for their efforts.

That's right messenger. Don't you just hate it when people make outrageous claims about clubs based on inaccurate information.
