I prefer showers like any normal person. You obviously like lying around in your own filth, I don't.
oH and Derek I think it's a GREAT team. Let's hope Mitchell Johnson has a falling out with his mummy again.

I was born in Kent but I don't have a Kent accent. My parents are South Londoners but I don't have a London accent. So am I from London or Kent?
Some friends have even commented that I know have an aussie accent. Pretty sure I'm still English though.

That's a terrible spelling error.
However, no acknowledgement as the whole sentance makes no sense now.

It did sound strange though, how long ago did he move from his home country to England?

Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
I'm thinking we will start this series with 2 draws (thinking of having a bet on it). Brisbane looks like being severely rain affected and Adelaide looks like they will be batting on a road.
Adelaide will be a HUGE toss to win. That said, aus won the toss there 3 years ago and lost by an innings.

Hard to say, on form I would have to say England but anything can happen. Must get off to a winning start in the first test
Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
Prediction with a little Bias:
Gabba: Draw
Adel Oval: Draw
WACA: Australia
MCG: Australia
SCG: england

We agree on all but the MCG
Gabba: Weather saving australia
Adelaide - Looks like a batsmens paradise
WACA - always a good performing venue for australia
MCG - England pull level with Jimmy and Broad ripping them apart, possible innings win there again.
SCG - England win the Ashes with Swanny on the spin friendly deck.
Still not sure on Adelaide - deck will be hard to predict this far out but looking at the shield game it looks pretty batsmen friendly. Will that change by Day 5 and depending on the toss allow Swanny into the game?

Your Ian McLachlan very defensive today in "The Age" newspaper about drop-in wickets.God is an Englishman wrote: Adelaide looks like they will be batting on a road.
Did SACA let you know about these wickets before you voted by proxy to have their $85,000,000 debt 'retired' and the whole $729,858,000 A.O. project to go ahead?
Did SACA let you know they were changing 140 years of tradition where members had to be physically present to cast their all-important vote to then allow proxy votes?
Did SACA let you know you could pay the same membership fee but only have half the access to the Oval, er stadium?
Did SACA mention any possible conflict of relatives' interest with people in the SACA & AFL, however innocent and distant that might have been?

YES, but your figures are still wrong
Did SACA let you know they were changing 140 years of tradition where members had to be physically present to cast their all-important vote to then allow proxy votes?
Tradition was never mentioned but obviously proxy voting was mentioned
Did SACA let you know you could pay the same membership fee but only have half the access to the Oval, er stadium?
We were told that membership fees would be reduced, they haven'tDid SACA mention any possible conflict of relatives' interest with people in the SACA & AFL, however innocent and distant that might have been

Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
But Steve#4, IMO the controversial drop-in Adel.Oval wickets issue is relevant to this Ashes series. GMAE despises them. The SMA Chairman Ian McLachlan (uncle of AFL number 2, Gillon McLachlan) was obliged to defend those wickets in a half-broadsheet piece on page 31 in today's (19/11) national newspaper "The Australian".Steve#4 wrote:Can you keep your rants to the relevant threads please?Con M wrote:Your Ian McLachlan very defensive today in "The Age" newspaper about drop-in wickets.

Justin Langer was scathing about the wicket which reaped 1237 runs for an average of 54 per wicket in last week's Shield game there.
The 2nd, 3rd & 4th questions were more directed to GMAE - see his dead bat response on his post at 4.49pm today (19/11).
