Will Karma come knocking for all the other batsmen who don't walk?

A wise man once said that you should never judge a wicket until both teams have batted BUT 101/5 when they chose to bat

3 years ago at the Gabba, Brad Haddin came in at 5/143 and made a centuryGod is an Englishman wrote:A wise man once said that you should never judge a wicket until both teams have batted BUT 101/5 when they chose to bat

Cook said that he'd like to be batting on Day 1, will he get his wish?

I respect your confidence in the home side, but I still believe Australia will lose this seriesGod is an Englishman wrote:bob saget wrote:My series prediction: World XI 2 - Australia 1

Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
England took the honours on day one but a good fight back by the Aussies.
Question: i heard on the ABC yesterday that everyone is worried about Michael Clarke's back and that it is affecting his batting, if this is really the case then don't play him, the other side of the equation is that he is human and could actually be going through a form slump??
Anyway hope the Aussies make a few more runs this morning and then do some damage with the new ball, if not it will be England 1-0 after the GABBA test.

No matter what happens they need to stick with this squad through the 5 matches and not chop and
change as they have in the past.
If we get smacked in this series get rid of everyone over 32 that is not performing and start again and that includes the administration.
In saying that it's only the 1st day of the 1st Test, a lot of cricket to be played yet and I still think we can do some good things in this series.

that would be all the administration. Doubt any administrators are aged under 32Steve#4 wrote: get rid of everyone over 32 that is not performing and start again and that includes the administration..

Hope the abuse that Aussies give works the same for KP as it did for Broad.

Completely disagreed until this series. Was amazed he even made the squad but he was given a chance and he's taken it. Now can he transfer that form into a test match. Let's hope so.
Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
Probably a little bias from myself, i know him pretty well and when he was at Kent he always showed signs of being a great player. He doesnt mind getting big hundreds.....hopefully he can make the Aussies suffer today.

Both Cook and Trott haven't learnt from their issues in the last series. Both getting out in trademark fashion.

What happened to the knowledgeable crowd we once had... I can't stand Broad but wouldn't boo him off the ground after his performance.... By all means give it to him during the session but, the crowd should have clapped him off at the end.

Hypocrisy is rife on this one as I have been saying for months. If they boo Broad then they should boo just about every australia batsmen as well.
