Whats the issue? I don't think anyone tipped England to beat Italy or Uruguay.

If Woy actually said that, it just shows exactly why the clowns at the FA shouldn't have appointed him.

Woysy Boy probably thinks that Henderson is the better player

Honestly, his defending is dismal, so they might as well put Baines on the bloody wing, he spends half his time there anyway, and let Shaw play full back.

After the game, the commentator says
"Roy, will you be going 4 4 2 now?"
Roy - "No, 7 4 7, there's more leg room."

The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil today. “It’s heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope,” said Jose, age 6

For some reason some people feel the need to gloat, possibly a deep seated resentment based on an inferiority complex fueled by cultural insecurities. The classic chip on the shoulder.

To be fair to El Cap, I think he's right, we didn't expect to beat anyone except Costa Rica (a country with a population of 4.5m and a football participation of 25). That now looks unlikely.

You really are a sad little boy. I only claim a penalty when it's there, like Gerrard's one.

Sturridge should never wear the shirt after that performance. Diving is not acceptable.

I do agree with El Cap England's results were not unexpected, what is the issue? Just helping out by putting forward one theory as to why people do get so exited by it, other ideas are welcome.

so...you're happy to admit to the fact that English players are divers....

also

Wayne Rooney, your Captain in waiting has acknowledged the need for a shift in culture and that England players need to become a lot more 'streetsmart'....you know, diving, play acting etc etc

My alternate theory is that GIAE has managed to be so totally offensive on this forum that everyone else is happy to see him uncomfortable and disappointed. I have an England supporting mate that I'm happy to commiserate with, but GIAE ....
Stirling District (est 1967) 32 seasons successfully avoiding a Championship then this
1999 Div 2 Champions
2002 Div 2 & 2B
2004 Div 1 & Champion of Champions
2007 Div 1 & 1B
2009 Div 1B
2011 Div 1B
2013 Div 2B & 7C
2014 Div 2B

Agree with GIAE - I was disgusted with the way that Sturridge carried on - obviously he has learnt a thing or two playing with Suarez.

Yes, you're right though. The anti Englishness in this country is solely down to me

Nice one Dagwood.

This is where I should come back with something like 'Both Cahill and Quantas carrying Australia and neither will be around in 4 years time' but that would just be breathing life into what is let's face it, a s#!t joke.
