Bit excessive with the bumping, maybe people aren't interested and have committed to other events ?
Why is everyone always telling people on computers to hit me ?

Credit to you for having a go, dont think it is through lack of interest - competing with a lot of other events as you may already be aware - lot of football competitions happening, other clubs already have trial games locked in place trying to sort out and finalise their squads.
Think soundwave is on,not sure when fringe starts-lot of events on in Feb ( car race following weekend ) good luck.

Thanks Mate.

Yes we were well aware that the timing was not ideal.. Pre-season cups, friendlies, festivals, fringe etc. etc.

Originally we wanted to run it at the end of last year but due to circumstances it didn't go ahead. We still have quite a few teams registered for the 22nd though, and the aim will be to make it a success in the hope that we can run it yearly at the end of each season.

We're trying to offer something totally different and the feedback has been very positive apart from the timing issue. Plans are well underway for the 22nd and all being well, the majority of those teams will want to come back. If we time it right for a second run at the end of the season, i'd hope that the interest will be even higher.

Thanks for the feedback guys. :)

after the end of the season and $5000 you'd get loads of interest

That's the idea redfred. We'll be running the event on the 22nd to showcase what we can offer and then at the end of the season we'll be looking to build on this month's tournament. :)

We have a team wanting to register but would need one more to even it up if anyone out there would like to nominate a late team? Enquiries to sturtsevens@gmail.com :)
