Thought they played very, very well. Constant pressure in defence gave Brazil no time on the ball (starting with the front players). A very Ange type of display from the Matilda's, showing the Aussie style of aggression in defence and no fear in attack. A well deserved win.

Congratulations to the Matildas for their fantastic performances and reaching the Quarter Finals. I really enjoyed the possession based style that were playing as well as that traditional Aussie "Never say die" spirit. I was particularly proud of that first half performance against the USA where the Matildas completely dominated. They are a young side and I hope that they can stay together for the next World Cup Finals/Olympics etc. They have done Australia proud!

+1 I was also very impressed by the way they played in the win against Brazil.

Well done to the Matildas!! watching them do their thing was not always easy in OZ with the broadcasting that was on but could keep up to date with the live games on www.Flashscore.com.au and their apps Let's hope we go one further in another 4 years!
They did do well, however I feel that they would be feeling some what disappointed.
In my opinion, when they entered the knockout stages, they would have been relieved to see France, Germany and USA on the other side of the draw. They were the form teams of the competition.
If ever there was a time they were going to make the final, this was it.
They out played and out muscled a Brazil team with aging superstars, but I didn't see that same physical aggression against Japan - did they play their final against Brasil ? And we were a good chance to beat England, and in the final anything can happen.
Will be two cracking semi final games.
the best team won the tourney. japan looked the goods, and i thought they may have got the choclates but the opening 20mins of the final they were woeful. totally carved up.
hit some big tv audience numbers in the usa as well. good on em.
