Goody and Jeggo in!
I think Brad Jones is a little stiff. He's a wall at the moment.

Great to hear about Goody and Jeggo. Does this prove all the knockers about Jeggo wrong?Stuckey wrote:

They were proven wrong a long time ago.
He's been doing exceptionally well in Austria. Apparently he's playing more of a #6 role.

That is pleasing! Still very young so if he develops well he could be a good asset for the Socceroos.Stuckey wrote:They were proven wrong a long time ago.

Agree. If he continues his good form in Austria, with his EU passport, anything is possible. Blonde Bresc?Baresi wrote:That is pleasing! Still very young so if he develops well he could be a good asset for the Socceroos.Stuckey wrote:They were proven wrong a long time ago.

It's pretty amusing everyone on twitter acting like they've never heard of Jeggo and its a "shock" call up. Like those people are so abreast of all leagues and players that somehow Jeggo slipped through the net!
Re: The road to Moscow
So the remainder of the qualifiers are to be shown live on 9. Huge move. Let's hope they get a few people who know what they are talking about and not Ken Sutcliffe just bluffing his way through a broadcast.
Hopefully this could be 9 dipping their toe to see if the HAL is worth bidding on. Although I'm not sure why they would want to go for it when they'll have a full summer of cricket to telecast.
I'd rather it stay with Fox if a FTA station isn't going to show every game live.

I'm sure Con M will ind something else to moan about.
Oh, the irony of someone from Ōmuta slagging off Kokura as inaka.

grosso won't post the score, but will point out the fact that Stuckey hasn't.

What's the option if it's a draw?Bomber wrote:Prediction.
Australia win, stuckey posts the score.
Australia lose, grosso to oblige.

I think the 2-2 was a good result against the Saudi's. We were the better side. It's always hard away but Ang could have brought players on earlier in those conditions.

Re: The road to Moscow
Another pretty impressive performance in tough conditions. I think we took a little while to get going which accounts for the first goal. Their second could have really gone anywhere so it was a bit unlucky.
Happy to see Juric on the board again. If the midfield could offer he a decent amount of service I think he'd be scoring a hell of a lot more. But as always with Australian football crossing and final balls into the area is often something we struggle with.
If the lads can put together a full 90 mins there is no reason why they shouldn't beat Japan. Although a full 90 might be tough on the back of travel from Jeddah.

Win at home, draw away and you'll qualify.

I certainly wouldn't be calling a draw with Saudi Arabia a good result. I'd be devestated.OldGold wrote:Don't think England supporters have much to laugh at!God is an Englishman wrote:eagleboy wrote:I think the 2-2 was a good result against the Saudi's.
