Football Federation SA advises that its Senior Men’s Football Manager, Nathan Magill, has resigned from his position within the Competitions Department and will leave the post in the first week of May.
Nathan has held the role at FFSA for the past three and half years, during which time the PlayStation 4 National Premier League was established and developed within South Australia. Prior to this, Nathan held the position of State Manager of Referees from commencing at FFSA in 2011.
Nathan’s period at FFSA has also been devoted to the continual development of South Australian Referees through his role on the State Referees Committee and a Match Assessor on national competitions.
Nathan said he departs the organisation during an exciting time of growth for the local game.
“I have really enjoyed my time at FFSA in various roles working with a dedicated and passionate group of people both inside the organisation and within our Clubs,” said Nathan.
“The establishment of a three-tier, 12-team league structure in our Senior Men’s competition during my period at FFSA is a particular highlight.”
“Licensing our Senior Men’s Clubs until 2020 was also a landmark moment which assists in securing the further growth of Football in South Australia as well as the success of our local clubs on a national stage, which highlights the strength of the competition and the Clubs.”
“I look forward to seeing local Football continuing to grow in all areas, which I believe is a guarantee with the people involved not only at the Federation but also at our Clubs.
FFSA Chief Executive, Michael Carter, thanked Nathan for his positive contributions to Football in South Australia.
“Nathan has been a very valuable member of our team over the past six years,” said Michael.
“Nathan has brought stability to the Senior Men’s competition and has developed strong relationships with many clubs, we wish him well with his future endeavours.”

Sadly, 'Bright Sparks' soon get snuffed out in SA Football.
The older I get the better I was.

I will do it free if the FFSA pass new bylaws such as not one cent from junior set ups funds senior clubs,
All junior clubs to be legally seperate from senior clubs, FFSA to stop charging ground fees for any FFSA club. The FFSA CEO to take a major wage haircut. To name but a few.

The business plan and funding model is out there already = saasl.
Just go to Salisbury North and see the new facilities for Inter and Florina.
Just go to Playford and see all the parks and soccer pitches there funded by councils.

how can you licence clubs until 2020? shouldn't they be assessed every year?
