Re: Modbury Vista lose points
“The buck stops here.” This is a common adage used when talking about responsibility for actions undertaken by a person or someone associated with that person. For all coaches and especially the Modbury Vista head coach, “the buck” literally stops with him. Head coaches bear ultimate responsibility for almost all actions undertaken by members of their club.
Whilst the club is in turmoil, where is the head coach? Rumour has it he is tanning himself in far North Queensland on holiday.
A disgruntled fan quoted "his actions have cost the club a valuable 3 points dropping the team back into a relegation spot".
So, will the head coach still have a job on his "tanned" return, but even more important will Modbury Vista be relegated due to the head coach's actions?

Vista thought there was no issue neither did the player. His identity was never hidden. And was only until the issue was brought up on here, (the club even sat him out on he weekend while the whole thing was up in the air and before points were deducted.

that "action" by the head coach was all too late - the horse had already bolted so to speak.Rodent wrote:chunky-monkey wrote:As grumbly said on the Brahma topic, it is easy enough for a club person to register a whole bunch of players under one email address. We can only hope that the SAASL improve their registration process to prevent this situation happening again................getyourheaddown wrote:“The buck stops here.” This is a common adage used when talking about responsibility for actions undertaken by a person or someone associated with that person. It was at the request of the league that he sat out ... nothing to do with the coach or club!!getyourheaddown wrote:that "action" by the head coach was all too late - the horse had already bolted so to speak.Rodent wrote:chunky-monkey wrote:As grumbly said on the Brahma topic, it is easy enough for a club person to register a whole bunch of players under one email address. Again, can't see what the head coach has done wrong here.
Blame lies with either the player, the other club or the league.

not what I've been told. League gave no instructions as such, merely they told the club they were investigating.Rodent wrote: It was at the request of the league that he sat out ... nothing to do with the coach or club!!

GIAE has trouble reading : "For all coaches and especially the Modbury Vista head coach, “the buck” literally stops with him. Head coaches bear ultimate responsibility for almost all actions undertaken by members of their club".

head coach does what the name suggests, a coach. Nothing to do with player registration. He can't be responsible for other clubs actions or for what he is told by a player.
Short of ringing every club in the world for every player, ehat could they have done?
