So let me understand the above, OTH was not at fault in any of this?
Wow! Hats off to them for just standing there not doing/provoking anything. Takes a great depth of will power.

Both what teams? And when was that?

There was only one team the instigators/aggressors etc in this game and not for the first time this season.

So OTH did nothing to provoke of help fuel this?

Clearly they fueled something.... Had the choice to walk away and let the ref handle it.
Not saying Wolves are innocent.

You try walking away when a bloke has just punched your team mate in the back, then another has come in and king hit him from behind and then begin kicking him whilst he is on the floor. Of course we ran in, ya dont just stand around when that happens. And you try standing around whilst opposition supporters charge on throwing punches. Dont be stupid mate
Up until that moment the game had gone fine, played in good spirits. Nothing dirty or untoward. They had a player sent off because he was carded in the first half for dissent and carded a minute before the incident for a slightly late challenge. Nothin in the game had built up to that, it literally blew up from nothing. Given we played them in the cup where they had 3 players sent off and punches were thrown i really expected there to be a lot of spice in this game but honestly up until that moment it was just like any other game.
So if you werent there dont try throwing dirt. Even after the fight their coach blamed the ref for what happened, nothing to do with OTH

Feel free to contact other clubs in the Saturday div 3 comp. Feel free to speak with them about their experiences. Feel free to have a look at wolves disciplinary record. Against us, in 1 ressies game and 2 first team games they have copped 5 red cards, against hahndorf the week before they had a man sent off. Against Mclaren Vale the match was nearly abandoned. This isnt an isolated incident. More than once this season they have had supporters enter the playing arena. In previous years ive played against the Wolves in lower divisions and never experienced these issues... but it seems the group they have now are repeat offenders and have zero respect for the game
Ya need to look at what's going on before making comment saying "oh theres 2 sides, OTH provoked"

End of the day it doesnt matter how much cabernet stirring a player or team does its no excuse to have 20 supporters charge on throwing punches after theyve already punched n kicked a player on the park. No excuse for it at all. In none of the 2 first team, and 1 ressies game against Wolves have we had a man sent off. In the whole season so far our entire club has copped 1 red card to my knowledge... we are here to play football and nothing else

So nothing happened. A guys gets 'king-hit' and its the ref's fault. Did I miss something.

Once again, to be clear; I am not taking their side or in any way associated to them and agree their behavior is out of line.

Mate it sounds absurd... it sounds ridiculous. Thats because thats exactly what it is. Ive never seen a side so willing to turn to flat out aggression so quickly. It really is only a matter of time until someone gets hurt seriously

And that the second time this season he has been sent off..... along with another 2 players who have also been sent off twice..... and that doesn't include over 10 yellow cards they have. Surely they don't have that much squad depth :D

Just a question... how does anyone know that he is serving his ban anyway? I wouldn't go as far as to say this club condones his actions, butnit is obvious that they are not penalising the player for his or any other players actions. So how domyou know that they are not alllowing these players to play under different names? How can this even be policed now as there are no players cards anymore?

I highly doubt they are being penalised by the club themselves and I would hazard a guess that they are playing under a different name...... it appears that Hahndorf have been awarded the points after the 3-3 draw due to a suspended player/ or unregistered player playing in that game.

I agreee its very hard tonpoloce without the ID cards in place. Maybe something to look at reintroducing next season.

The I.D. card wasn't perfect, but it did make clubs think twice about abusing the system.

The Ali Fahour incident shows we can learn a thing from AFL about how to do deal with serial offenders

He jumped the fence to fight a spectator in 2012, not long after he was reprimanded for leaving the interchange bench to get involved in an onfield fight.

Still no decision from SAASL on this one and now it seems there might be another 2 incidents over the weekend.

TWO soccer clubs have escaped serious penalties following an investigation into an all-in brawl involving up to 45 players and supporters.

The June 24 match between Northern Wolves and One Tree Hill was abandoned in the 65th minute, after a fight started between the teams following an argument between players.

The SA Amateur Soccer League last month fined Northern Wolves $500 for its involvement in the incident and placed the club on a $500 good behaviour bond.

One Tree Hill was given a warning, but no fines.

The league has not suspended any players involved in the brawl.

Police and an ambulance were called to the match, at the corner of Uley Rd and Hanson Rd, Elizabeth.

A police spokesman said no one was charged because people were not willing to provide a statement.

Witnesses told the Northern Weekly a One Tree Hill player was allegedly “coward punched” from behind by a Northern Wolves player and was kicked while on the ground.

After the hit, One Tree Hill players rushed to the side of the fallen player and began fighting with their opponents.

More than 20 supporters had taken to the field as well, according to one witness.

A One Tree Hill club spokesman, who did not want to be named, said he was shocked by his opponents’ behaviour.

“I was just running in there to break it up, but I personally copped a couple of hits,” he said.

“I turned around to see around 20 of their supporters running onto the pitch who started throwing kicks, punches, the lot. This is the first time anything on this scale has ever happened.

“The disappointing thing for me is such little action has been taken – it is a slap on the wrist.”

Northern Wolves president Agostino Bivone said the club had dealt with the incident.

“The matter has been before the South Australian Amateur Soccer League and has been resolved for over six weeks,” Mr Bivone said.

“As a club, we do not condone such behaviour and have enforced the club’s processes and procedures that are in place to assist in educating our members so these events don’t happen again.”

Amateur Soccer League secretary Alex Cichanowski said there was no place for violence in the sport.

Last month, Elizabeth South club Eleven Adult FC was banned indefinitely by the league after players threatened and chased a referee off the field during a match against Polonia Soccer Club.

What an absolute joke, so the message is start an all in brawl, unless the police are involved all you will cop is a $500 buck fine. The trick would be next time this happens, ring the cops, the advertiser etc. and make these buffoons running the league finally take action. Not the first time these creeps have done this will not be the last unfortunately..... pathetic result, condoning violence...Hang your head in shame you fools at headquarters...

Article says police couldn't do anything because no one wanted to step up....Well don't come on here bleating about it if you don't want anything to happen. Bury your head in the sand and hope it doesn't happen again....Way to go...

Same story from SAASL, they do not condone violence but there are no real policies to deter it. Reading on this forum and attending games it seems that violence is accepted. If it happens there is little or no punishment. Why not run the SAASL with the respect it deserves. Have the club's address and be accountable for their actions, if the club is a repeat offenders. Then bye bye. Simple really.
