Westies and Ghan 1-1
In my time at Anfield we always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

Looks like the 6 point turn around from Vista losing points and Easties gaining is going to be the difference.terryball wrote:rip Vistalegga wrote:Downs A, s rip Vista a new one....6 zip up

The club should seriously think about leaving the amateur league and just concentrate on the SL 2 as with their limited resources they have not provided the amateur team with any decent supportchunky-monkey wrote:Looks like the 6 point turn around from Vista losing points and Easties gaining is going to be the difference.terryball wrote:rip Vistalegga wrote:Downs A, s rip Vista a new one....6 zip up

Re: Results today
In an ideal world Vista must get their pitch in order first. Today was the worst I have seen it for years. It was a case of spot the grass and so uneven.

Only solutions would be artificial or to find an alternative venue for senior teams. No ground can handle the traffic that goes on there.brushmancity wrote:In an ideal world Vista must get their pitch in order first. Today was the worst I have seen it for years. Re: Results today
Would help if the council actually spent money on it during the off season. When you start the season with a rubbish surface there's no way it'll last all year. Plenty of injuries on that lovely pitch.
Re: Results today
Yes both Vista pitches unfit for football, the slopes are bad enough to contend with let alone a paddock to try to pass the ball around. unacceptable really. im surprised they have players willing to play there with that as their home ground.
Re: Results today
Maybe it's just the players, the downs didn't seem to be affected by the conditions

If that pitch was in England it would be considered luxurious. It's the same for both teams.

Might have saved them a bigger pizzling1from1 wrote:Maybe it's just the players, the downs didn't seem to be affected by the conditions
The issue at Vista is the amount of use they get that just cannot be overcome with all the junior sides.
At a minimum could the council at least roll the pitches to make them somewhat playable ?

Amazing conflict of interest with that council.

FARM 2 (Porter 2) - Gardens 2
Porter a "free agent" was a great pick up by Simmo and his back street boyz, I mean back room staff.
Both goals taken extremely well, a great assist for his second but Joel still had work to do and buried it very nicely with his left peg.
Both goals can be seen on the IFASC facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/ifasc courtesy of the great team at SAPIO Productions.

Internally raised financial support is the rumour.not club funded

This would be a very accurate statement. Club pulled majority funding to the Amateur senior side, but also hasn't given the SL2 a great deal.redfred wrote:Internally raised financial support is the rumour.not club funded

besides I was referring to a decent football pitch, supplementing the squad with good players, providing meals after Thursday night training, etc
