Yep Either after the next 2 games or after the next WC.
I get the feeling he feels he has had enough and he wants to move onto something else.
I think it will be good for him and the game in Aust.
He has done well overall though and that shouldn't be forgotten.

That's probably why he brought Gombau into the group for his expertise in this strategy.Bomber wrote:Interesting - implement a dodgy system then run away, win or lose. Hmmm........

Media pressure on national team manager is not unique to Australia. No isues with his view or decision, however his timing is very poor.Nicky_Tanner wrote:Pretty poor the abuse from all the experts before the quaifiers are over.ozzie owl wrote:Pretty poor by Ange to anounce prior to the last two WC qualifiers, should havce said nothing and anounced it after our fate was known.

arr so now he has said he is going after the next 2 games no matter what the results. ie he is not going to the WC even if we qualifyMr Red wrote:Yep Either after the next 2 games or after the next WC.

Re: Ange is going anyway
wow... everyone here blaming the coach.
Might help if our players can learn to use two feet, pass a 5 m ball and learn how to cross consistently. That is technical clout which we do not have.
Juniors should be taught how to use both feet. That means, conducting training sessions solely with the opposite foot like they do in europe. Everytime the ball touchers your preferred foot, 10 pushups. Don't like it? F*** off

Guss Hiddink won't do much with a bunch of donkeys. Can't teach old dogs new tricks.
Re: Ange is going anyway
the players are not old dogs. far from it. still have the ability to learn at any ageThe_Pessimist wrote:Guss Hiddink won't do much with a bunch of donkeys. Can't teach old dogs new tricks.
Im closer than you think
Re: Ange is going anyway
What kind of idiot coach leaves Tim Cahill on the bench for most of the qualifiers then drops the only outfield EPL player for Brad fucking Smith
The guy is a hack. There's no one in this country qualified to coach your NT.

Re: Ange is going anyway
He has done some strange things recently which you do have to wonder about.
He isn't a happy chappy hence why he is leaving the role.
I wonder if the FFA will step in and say go now?

But Australia has followed the famed Dutch system for the last 8 years or so !!!!!
Funny how Australia are Shiraz and the Dutch probably wont even make the World Cup !!

Took the national side to the World Cup where they were on the verge of beating the Netherlands, and won a continental trophy held in our own country. Still a very respectable effort, despite the lackluster recent form.

Including Stevie G.
Imagine how good they would have been if they were two footed.
I always used to coach my teams to use both feet where possible and most could manage it but some could never get the hang of it.
All my own children were ambidextrous like me.
The older I get the better I was.

Of course you were great with both feet, what weren’t you good at?

It would be good I have seen teams from the ffsa skillaroos and NTC teams play Adelaide City and other club teams and play to their best as 13-15yo using their favoured side
It would be suitable if those coaches concentrated on balanced players rather than making sure they beat all the clubs with players using their favoured leg

I disagree, It is much harder to learn new skills when you are 18 plus. When you are a child, you soak up a lot more knowledge. It has been clinically proven that a young brain learns and absorbs knowledge at a faster rate.FoundIt wrote:the players are not old dogs. far from it. still have the ability to learn at any ageThe_Pessimist wrote:Guss Hiddink won't do much with a bunch of donkeys. A coach that knows that Tim Cahill's hamstring will probably pop if he tries to play him 90 minutes every game.Grosso wrote:What kind of idiot coach leaves Tim Cahill on the bench for most of the qualifiers then drops the only outfield EPL player for Brad fucking Smith
