This makes me laugh. They seem very selective with who they move. Olympic’s U14 team last year had a -199 goal difference. At what point do they see that team as “adequately challenged and to ensure player development”. How much time does it take to flick through the results each week and see which teams are struggling?Mr Red wrote: • FFSA will review all results and league positions on an ongoing basis to determine if any team positional changes are required to be implemented.

I doubt this will be happening soon, the U12/13 is only out now due to the changes to the way they are doing things - I think.fball12 wrote:Can someone post the Under 15's and Under 16's divisions pls?

Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
Now that Adelaide University senior side has joined the FFSA, would this mean their juniors will now be playing in the JPL?
Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
Yep and same for vista. So some C pools are possibly going to be cramped. U14s for next year had 9 teams in pool c in 2016 but with vista and uni joining sl2 their jsl teams now become jpl teams plus mt barker is fielding a u14s for 2017 and i reckon western strikers will field a team and possibly vipers so perhaps 14 teams in pool c for 2017.....ffsa will have to adjust the pools.Slide Tackle wrote:Now that Adelaide University senior side has joined the FFSA, would this mean their juniors will now be playing in the JPL?
Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
They will move more teams up from the C's to make room as they did last Season. JPL C will have less teams than the A's and B'sgeoff9559 wrote:Yep and same for vista. Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
Okay i would have thought more teams in the lower pools to make getting to the top more a challenge / worthwhile and adding a greater contest to promote from the lower pools.

it ended up being:geoff9559 wrote:Okay i would have thought more teams in the lower pools to make getting to the top more a challenge / worthwhile and adding a greater contest to promote from the lower pools.
JPL A - 11 teams
JPL B - 10 teams
JPL C - 8 teams
Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
U13 jplc had nine teams after western strikers moved to jsl in 2016. So currently there would be 11 in pool a for 2017, 10 in pool b and 14 in pool c if all who indicated fielding a u14s team do. If ffsa make pool A 12 teams that would require three promoting from u13bs instead of two teams. Then if the ffsa made pool b 12 teams as well you'd virtually have half of the teams of u13 pool c promoted to pool b. This would then leave 11 in pool c u14s for 2017. But if pool A stayed at 11 and not expanded then both pool b and pool c could have 12 teams per pool....which might be effective. Cheers geoff9559

JPL A will probably have 1 down and three up making a 12 team JPL A division.geoff9559 wrote:U13 jplc had nine teams after western strikers moved to jsl in 2016. Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
umm ok I suppose they will look at min max pitches sizes also depending on which way they go - is this just an FFSA change or its coming down from FFA? The younger we can get our players to have the skills, technique's, game awareness and decision making to handle situations under pressure the better. It might cause a bit of heartache for some in the short term but in the end its the right way to go. Its a matter of having the best set up/environment/opportunities/coaching and parenting for the children to develop as young footballers.Pie and Bovril wrote:U8-U9 5v5 or 6v6. Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
no, the reason for the change was to stop the ridiculous situation of 12 year olds playing on a full sized pitch and to bring the format in line with other countries. The FFSA have specified pitch sizes so clubs will need to accommodate a larger 9v9 pitch for U12sromarios shin wrote:still on a full size pitch?Pie and Bovril wrote:I see that U12's moving to 9 v 9 next season is on the cards.

all for the younger kids improving technically, don't really like the min/max pitch thing the difference between 2 clubs could be huge, lets just have a set size per age.

In the UK you have six different pitch sizes; U7-U8, U9-U10, U11-U12, U13-U14, U15-U16 and U18+. Even the goals are smaller until U15 level.romarios shin wrote:all for the younger kids improving technically, don't really like the min/max pitch thing the difference between 2 clubs could be huge, lets just have a set size per age.

Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
so going from 11-aside to 9-aside is going to make a difference is it?
Re: U12 and U13 JPL 2017 structures
Miniroos and U12 structure not changing now I hear? the status quo remains?

I wonder if there might be a few SAASL clubs with junior teams that may look to put junior teams into FFSA junior comps with the new link with SAASL and FFSA?magnet wrote:any new clubs fielding senior teams in 2018?
