England to boycott Russia World Cup?

Post by Bomber »

That would be funny. Fancy asking Australia to join them if they do.

Surely James Bond can sort all this Russian spy stuff out?

My understanding is that the team will not boycott but England will not send any diplomatic representation.

The only time I have seen mention of the team boycotting is one comment from Boris Johnson who said that he would see it difficult for any representation from the UK.

The US has reportedly just announced they'll pull their team out of the world cup in Russia. It's rumoured the Netherlands are very close to announcing a boycott also

Or maybe he is suggesting there's no shame in losing in a penalty shootout.

England certainly has a long history of losing the penalty shootouts.

28 years would be a long time in australian history.

As annoying as they are to lose, at least you can hold your head up knowing they couldn't beat you in the actual game.

So typical for the POM to turn a topic about Engerlund into an Aussie bashing one

Typical of a racist "aussie" to not be able to take a joke or any banter back at them.

Sadly Chris Waddle probably did have his head up, hence the ball went flying over.

Blame it on the grog ? Lets hope some banning orders are issued, the game doesn't need them.
