JPL squad sizes

Post by Niceonebruva »

Generally on average how many players are allocated to a
JPL squad obiviously varies at different clubs
What’s an ideal team number?
Our team had a friendly on the weekend and the opposition had a big bench which definitely assisted them they brought a group of players on that only played the second half of the game.
As our players were either fatigued/injured by the second half.

Big squad bench time v game time
What’s best for development?

not great for training though if you have a squad of 13. Very rare that all players turn up

Can only name 16 on game day, squad can be as many as you want.

Im pretty sure at trial matches though this goes out the window.

If you are interested FFSA have a very good set of rules and regs for the junior comp on the Web site. For a new parent to Soccer two years ago, it was a good starting point to learn some of the details of game day. (not the game rules)
