Saturday Div 2 & 3

Hi Guys,

I have heard that teams like Aldinga, Southern Breakers and Strathalbyn will be going back to having 2 teams this year. Along with Blue Eagles going to Saturday, I am wondering what will happen with these Divisions? Last year they were 12 and 11 team comps so clearly they will have to go back to 4 Divisions again. Will they relegate the bottom 4 from both Divs? Just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

we were told at the start of the 2018 season that it would revert back to 10 team leagues in 2019 (subject to number of teams) so with what you have said I would say they will be 10 team leagues.

So does that mean Div 4 would only have potentially 7 teams? If we lose three from Divs 2 and 3 to make them ten team leagues, and Blue Eagles, Southern Breakers, Aldinga and Strath plus East Adelaide being formed, potentially an eight team competition..

Lets hope for 8 at least if there is a division 4 so we can get a decent amount of games for a change!

I agree with Sean that you want at least 8 teams in Div 4. If East Adelaide is a team, then going on last years tables they may look something like this?

Hopefully no teams pull out then otherwise a 5 or 6 team league is pointless. If two pull out/fail to get up and running it surely brings back the 3 x 12 discussion as the way to go.
