Yeah there was a name change and now it seems a breakaway, it's all ridiculous.Paleon Patros Germanos wrote:I think you will find East Adelaide was also the precursor to Prince Alfred Old Collegians.

Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE
Any further news?
Downs have unfortunately had to withdraw from the Saturday comp due to lack of numbers.
Have heard there are a few other struggling from all saturday grades to fill both teams.
Any news- tomorrow was the deadline to avoid the fine.

We’ll have 3 teams this year.

Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE
That suggests a 7 team Division 4 at this stage, play each other 3 times for an 18 round season.
Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE

Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE
from the League as of yesterday
Early in Season 2018 (email: Sent: Tuesday, 10 April 2018), we notified all Clubs in Saturday Division 2 & 3 that it was our aim to return these divisions back to a 10-team structure as soon as possible.
After careful consideration and abiding by the SAASL Competition Rules & Regulations as set out in the League Championship Rules… The Final re-structure will be:
Saturday Division 2 (A & B) – 10 team structure being 10 teams
Saturday Division 3 (A & B) – 10 team structure being 9 teams with a bye
Saturday Division 4 (A & B) – 8 team structure being 7 teams with a bye
Division 2 & 3 must go to a 10-team fixture structure even if it is in a transitional phase.
Whilst some may query the 9 teams with a bye and have concerns regarding the number of games in the season, this decision was made with the best intentions of the overall SAASL Saturday Competition for this season and seasons beyond.
Having this structure will assist with the fixture requirements and the smooth running of the competition as it is difficult to align A, B, C teams fixtures without causing ground and fixturing difficulties as well as stretching club’s resources over different venues etc…
The 8 team / 21 round competition for Division 4 is the best option for this division as all clubs in this division do not have a C team and therefore it means the overall fixtures and ground availability becomes simpler and easier to facilitate.

Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE
SAASL do what they want with us for the second year running.
How are small clubs that are trying to grow suppose to function properly when they get messed around. How is that going to encourage players, coaches to come to a club when they have no idea what division they will be in despite finishing well above relegation last year.
Div 3 9 teams joke
Can anyone see the div 4 teams sustaining the season or will that turn into a debacle like last years div 3 with teams pulling out whenever it’s hard.
Enjoy div 2 peckers (bet ya glad for the goal difference now eh)
Very disappointing that teams who have a history of rule breaking and have had previously been deducted points and played unregistered players still get to be in div 2 after promotion from bottom division last season SAASL reward the rule breakers #classic
Oh well onwards and upwards!

So what your saying is Fizi and Murray Bridge have cheated their way there and don’t deserve to be there?Dare to Nuhiu wrote:SAASL do what they want with us for the second year running.

Do feel for you. Makes it hard for small clubs to recruit. Just need to get yourself back there. Good luck.
