I wouldn't put it past him - he didn't have much success against Asian opposition in the ACL. or with the Ollyroos.

probably scrape through

Cant see FFAs coffers being boosted by State Governments throwing money around to host the group round. I see the Socceroos gracing the green green grass of Wollongong, Coffs Harbour, Mildura and Geelong. TV rights negotiations should be fun.

Hindmarsh would probably be apt for at least one fixture.KRO wrote:Cant see FFAs coffers being boosted by State Governments throwing money around to host the group round. Would be great but I don't think its FIFA compliant.Bomber wrote:Hindmarsh would probably be apt for at least one fixture.KRO wrote:Cant see FFAs coffers being boosted by State Governments throwing money around to host the group round. I normally record our games to watch later but this time straight to delete. Nepal would not beat a NPL side. The Aussies just had no idea against a side that only defended.MegaBonus wrote:watching tonight had me asking if Frank Arok is our current coach....or maybe Eddie Thompson...

It was a better performance last night but our defense looks suspect. The Chinese looked like could score on the counter attach.Bomber wrote:1-7
Looks like we might qualify for the next bit
Once again there were too many long balls into attack. Maybe to utilise Souter's height. Our goals were good quality though. Pity no Goody playing.

We've just got to get past Jordan before we can start celebrating though.

Re: Asian confed WC qualifiers
an away win in a place where we have previously struggled is a positive.....only saw the highlights which suggest we did well to hang on....

Re: Asian confed WC qualifiers
We had a great first half where we dominated without putting more goals in. Bombed too many long balls in. Brad Smith overhitting many. The second half was mostly Jordan and we were lucky but still a good win overall.MegaBonus wrote:an away win in a place where we have previously struggled is a positive.....only saw the highlights which suggest we did well to hang on....
Not sure what footwear we had but our players continually slipped on the pitch when in possession. Boyle looked good when he came on.

Re: Asian confed WC qualifiers
The ball for Taggart's goal from Jackson Irvine was superb, it had goal written all over it the moment it left Jackson's boot and Taggart's chip over the 'keeper was excellent.
