Sold Hillsborough and then it seems they changed the dates on the sale in order to avoid points deductions.Bomber wrote:Reason?
Wednesday claiming it is all above board and legal.

Excuse my ignorance on this, but why would a club get points deductions for selling something that I assume they owned?God is an Englishman wrote:Sold Hillsborough and then it seems they changed the dates on the sale in order to avoid points deductions.Bomber wrote:Reason?

Probably Financial Fair play, or something like that. Could be different years/seasons?Bomber wrote:Excuse my ignorance on this, but why would a club get points deductions for selling something that I assume they owned?God is an Englishman wrote:Sold Hillsborough and then it seems they changed the dates on the sale in order to avoid points deductions.Bomber wrote:Reason?

From my understanding, they declared it in the wrong year.Bomber wrote:Excuse my ignorance on this, but why would a club get points deductions for selling something that I assume they owned?God is an Englishman wrote:Sold Hillsborough and then it seems they changed the dates on the sale in order to avoid points deductions.Bomber wrote:Reason?

They used it to balance the books and not fall foul of the "salary cap" in that year.

However, wednesday blatantly broke the rules and were also guilty of fraud. The fact they have now got a lower punishment than someone who goes into receivership is ridiculous.
