Haven't the gardens lost some players recently?! Downs are undefeated & you're a brave man to back the gardens in this one...

I believe it will be a great game, its funny how most of the dimwits who write on here dont play anymore yet are so opinionated that we are all led to believe they have actually kicked a ball before, whilst I dont play at Gardens I do play and I have seen both Clubs play and it will be a belter. I just hope its happy hour at the Midway Tavern at 3pm might keep some of the rock apes away!!

The rock apes have moved on to the Vale. Downs have the biggest and best behaved and the loudest support in the amateur league by far. If the Gardens could control their support staff from emotional outburst at anyone and everyone then it will probably be a great day for all. The Downs lost the feral tag and appears the Gardens found it and kept hold of it because it fits so well.

if clubs are based in elizabeth, they're awarded the feral tag by default, unfortunately.

as 'not feral' as doons may be, when you're in the 'bef, it's impossible to shake off the feral tag.

i think you guys will be seeing more of pino next year, too

is lee cockerill out there?

It'd be good to see a certain striker bag a few at the weekend in payback for some of the unsubstantaited whingeing and moaning he was copping before the season started...........

Sounds like its going to be a big one.

Ross Taylor might cop a bit for trading clubs. Wont be surprised if theres a few send offs in this one.

is there a histroy of crowd trouble?

sorry guys not up 2 speed with div 1... but did taylor and reeves move clubs this year?

Anonymous

Post by Anonymous »

unknown, here is my guess at it all and its a long post
taylor was top goal scorer in the league in 05 and a gardens player
reeves was playing at inter for a few years
downs have recruited those 2 plus fuda from the vale ( although i think fuda has played with downs before )
correct me if im wrong but i think youll find that all 3 clubs would be dissapointed with arguably there 3 most best players leaving to join the downs.
However i dont think youll find there will be crowd trouble when the downs play inter or when the downs play the vale
i think youll find theres a mutual respect between those clubs, even though those games will be fiercely fought.
Its just theres always a group of supporters who ruin it by going a bit far.
downs supporters, agree ?

The Downs crowd has been a tough bunch for away sides to face for years - very vocal, very loyal and worth a goal start to the Downs. They'll squeeze in front of Gardens
