Liverpool were comfortably better tonight, but some poor defending from Spurs and struggled once Kane went off. You'd have to blame Mourinho for his selections and playing people out of position against the champions.

The usual half dozen or so fouls from Mane went unpunished as always, not sure how he gets away with it.
He doesn't get away with anything. You just don't know the game or the rules, Hence why you are surprised every week.
Mane like all modern players gets away with things, you can't really believe he doesn't?

I hand on heart have no idea what you two are on about. Not once did I think he was lucky with anything.

For th record I also think (unlike the majority) the handball was correct and the goal rightly disallowed.

I am not talking about the Spurs game what modern players do and get away with to earn free kicks and penalties. Don't worry Liverpool players are no worse or better than other EPL sides in this regard.

I agree, just imagine modern days players copping tackles dished by the likes of Norman Hunter?

This mornings match official should have been referred to the pitch side camera for Bruno's challenge on Xhaka! Shows more inconsistency from the VAR

Players should be allowed to do whatever they want to Xhaka without sanction, he gets away with so much every game, a bit like Mane.

Was weird that Xhaka who normally hits the deck screaming for a card if someone even blows on him didn’t seem to make much fuss for the Fernandez one. Anyways hard game to watch what with Arteta keeping all 11 behind the ball most of the game

 You think you've got it bad, Mourinho picks five defenders, a holding midfielder, a defensive forward and an unfit old boy against a relegation battling team.

I mean, I think both Sissoko and Davies are rubbish footballers, but when you get a bloke who's useless, at least put him where he's used to being useless, so it was hardly a surprise that Sissoko and Davies looked out of place, Bale looked out of pace and it was an awful performance.

If Sean Dyche was called Juan Dychio he would be considered a genius

Just saw the score ha ha, will definitely watch the mini match tonight.

Doesn't appear a smart move atm. Wasn't even on their bench today . Leno sent off and he would have debut if there.

Joke of a decision Cyril, how the VAR did not over turn the Luiz pen/red card reinforces everybody's thinking of the system! No contact, simple!! Have a look at every camera angle available & show me 1 where contact was made by Luiz.. laughable that VAR official can sit there & agree with the match officials decision

What sit on the bench when injured.. hasn't trained last 2 days with hip injury

If he can get fit, will get opportunity now with Leno out for 3

    Let's be honest here, Luiz clipped his heel very slightly by accident, if it's VVD or Maguire you get away with it, but fortunately the ref knew it was the Goons and punished them accordingly.

Looks like the "old Liverpool" are back. Beat the better sides, struggle with those at the bottom.

On the flip side, when Liverpool do this, it usually results in decent Euro form for some reason. One can only hope! ;-)

Two of the best dives for penalties you'll see in the Liverpool v City game, absolutely no attempt to stay on their feet, both players couldn't wait to get horizontal. Sterling just pushed the ball and ran into Fabinho and Salah felt the slightest grab and did a swan dive. At least Salah was grabbed at and made it dramatic, Sterling for me just looked for, and initiated, any contact and flung himself on the deck.

Allison had a mare which probably decided the game.

Jurgen predictably gracious in defeat
