^^^^^...yes, it makes sense to rest your best seam bowler on the greenest of pitches...

Re: Ashes 21/22
are you suggesting he was injured in the 4th test or are you referring to the injury that saw him 'managed' in the first test...remembering that both he and Broad declared that they were fit to play?

Re: Ashes 21/22
im suggesting he couldve played in Tas like he couldve played in Brisbane. there is nothing in any media reports that indicate he didnt get selected because he was injured.....in fact, quite the contrary!!!
BTW - thanks for not answering the question.....de javu....

I'd have thought it was answered when I told you exactly what I was suggesting.MegaBonus wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:25 pm im suggesting he couldve played in Tas like he couldve played in Brisbane. there is nothing in any media reports that indicate he didnt get selected because he was injured.....in fact, quite the contrary!!!

Oh and "de javu".
You obviously read different media to me, I even heard it from Jimmy Anderson himself.

Re: Ashes 21/22
When was the last time they won an away ashes series?
Strange you picked 15 as your number to use.

Re: Ashes 21/22
Sir Ian Beefy just labeled England embarrassing....I even heard it from the man himself....

Re: Ashes 21/22
Definitely a fair assessment of their team. Would take his opinion on it over anyone else's

Re: Ashes 21/22
Michael Vaughan said the same and that there deep seated issues with English cricket that need fixing . Too much focus on white ball cricket ?

Re: Ashes 21/22
Hadn’t a hope in hell of winning this series but the lads turned up and gave it a go when it would have been so much easier for them to pull out. See it as a catalyst for a much needed re-focus. The BBL alone has shown English talent is out there, just needs better direction. Aussies (and Labuschagne) can have their day this time but I’m not pessimistic
