As a mate of mine on facebook who went to the game said. "England games at wembley are now just full of northerners who seem to put their clubs over their country. Much better atmosphere at aqay games".ozzie owl wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 8:04 pm England supporters booing their own player ,.

Who would you support if Australia drew Poland out of interest?

Excited that Poland made it although our performance in major tournaments recently doesn't fill me with any great expectations

Draw. If a knockout game let penalties decide fate. On current form Poland would spank Australia.

Definitely australia
Edit: it will be a group stage, whatever result that's best for them to both to "come home too soon".

Australia has to get there first and that's not looking too likely thanks to Arnie.God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:21 pmDefinitely australia

I remember when Scotland won the cup in South America with Ally's Army

No real group of death but I'd say England have got one of the harder groups.

Re: World Cup qualifier squads
Not that I'm in the slightest bit surprised, but I found this little fact.
Of the 22 FIFA executives who voted in 2010 for Qatar to host the tournament, at least 16 have either been banned, accused of or indicted for criminal corruption, involved in FBI cases or accused of ethical violations but not convicted.

Scotland v Ukraine at Hamden Park on the 1st of June. Can the Ukraine win despite what is happening in their country? Not sure what their prep has been but I don't think ideal.

You really should educate yourself on how that is offensive to the people of Ukraine.

Re: World Cup qualifier squads
Scotland soundly beaten 1-3 by Ukraine at Hampden last night/this morning. Going by the reports the galvanized Ukraine side deserved their victory and now play Wales on Sunday for a place in the World Cup. Though Wales will not be a as soft a touch as my lot I strongly fancy the Ukrainians to qualify, which would be a great achievement considering the position they find themselves in. If they do get there most global supporters of the game will wish them well. Absolutely nothing against the Welsh (their street names apart) but hoping that Ukraine make it.
