Imagine an Islamist being told to choose his religion or ceo spot at an afl club

Re: AFL 2022
Andrew Thorburn interview on SEN was diabolical. His answer to the fact that he had never been a CEO at a sporting organisation was that he will surround himself with mentors. Like WTF - club is on its knees and you appoint someone who is proudly showing his L plates around?!?
And then hearing what his plans for getting Essendon back on track were extremely basic - I honestly don't think it warrants the exorbinate pay. Essendon for once were saved by religion and avoided having an utter amateur at the helm. They just have to find a way to get rid of the other amateurs on the board.

Re: AFL 2022
Odd that the "minorities" feelings are paramount these days. They go on about how proud they are of themselves but push back when any comments or gestures are made contrary to their stances. Meanwhile the "mainstream" are easy targets, and usually because it's water off a duck's back to them, sticks and stones, etc, but when it affects people's legal rights and livelihoods, you have to stop and think, where is the fairness, which ironically, the minorities scream the loudest when it affects them!

Andrews was banging on about being a practising left footer I see. Guess he mustn’t agree with abortion or homosexuality either or even that women are fit to be priests. Maybe he should remove himself from office too

Re: AFL 2022
We can only hope. He'll get in next election though - two reasons - weak opposition and Vics often have short term memory loss.

Re: AFL 2022
was referring to Dunkley.....JHF & Rioli have roots in Adl thus no big effort to entice them back....

"Power really showing that they ARE a destination club"
There was no referring in that comment Mega and lets wait for the pre season draft ... might get him for nothing

check the date....i posted just after Dunkley announced that Brisbane was his preferred choice.
my observations.....
- JHF & Port manufactured this idea that he was damaged goods forcing NM's hand
- Dawson, Rankine, Rioli and JHF coming 'home' will discourage Vic teams from drafting top end interstate talent

North we’re the worst run club. Essendon no we’re the worst run club, St Kilda (leaning back dragging on a durrie looks around disdainfully) “hold my ******* beer…”

Is it designed by the billionaire AFL CEO to keep drip-feeding so-called “news” during the off-season?

AFL umpires are cheats. Has this guy Michael Pell any connections to Juventus. Maybe a Grosso relation.

Re: AFL 2022
Isn't the January Transfer window one of the best parts of the season ??
Similar trades happen in NBA, NFL , MLB
