Swings and roundabouts. Brazil will have had the longer break when they meet England in the Final

They were poor, even though they made the last 16. They should be aiming higher and taking games on more.
A year supply of pierogi would be more than enough bonus.

They had a brilliant plan to win. The coach is a genius. Defend and pass the ball to Lewandowski. How could it fail. No one would work it out.

Btw I like pierogi with sauerkraut , ziemniaki and a good drop of Lech Pilz.

This to me sounds a light punishment.

Uruguay star 'faces 15-match ban' after elbowing FIFA official and attack on World Cup ref
Jose Gimenez could be banned for 15 matches after he appeared to elbow a FIFA official in the back of the head during his post-match meltdown following Uruguay's controversial World Cup exit

Very nice of Goodwin to one of his fans to have a photo with him. This down to earth attitude is what makes Aussies great.

Funny game is football, shots on target 11 v 1, but not when it came to penalties

Sometimes 'winning' the game isn't required to progress to the next round or even lift the trophy

Just like the Germans over many WC'S it proves if you play a solid team structure with a good game plan you can beat a technically superior side albeit on pens this time, but they recovered and went on with the job.

It helps if you get a bit of luck too, and having Arena's tip in your favour probably was the deciding factor.

Modric is brilliant though.
