Another window closed - some big in's & out's for lots of clubs.

Chelski continue to spend big, Forest signed their 28th player since promotion.
Biggest surprise was Cancelo being shown the door at Citeh.

Jorginho off the rent boys ??? if short term to push for title this year and get Rice in for next season then I'm all for it. If we are keeping him long term then wtf are we doing

Short term hole filler! Smart move by Arteta & co! Give us a wise head, proven winner mentality to push us on for the remainder of the season. This also allowing Lokonga to go to Palace to gain some experience.

Rice is who we want next year & every indication is, he wants to join us!

Harry Souttar [Stoke - Leicester] £15m WC form was good for him.

Was funny on the radio this morning - "Harry Soutter has transferred to Premier League heavyweights Leicester City". If Millwall blow their season then he could be playing against Millwall next season. HEAVYWEIGHTS.

Leicester City certainly under the pump at the moment to stay up. Leicester City although they won the PL years ago has never been a heavyweight.

Well, Harry scored in his first match at Leicester., although it was at the wrong end.

Whilst I understand managers' desire to keep possession etc and have no problem with the idea of playing out and building from the back, I will never understand defenders who are under severe pressure trying to play a cute little pass and losing it, just lump the bottle of shiraz thing and reset. As kids we were taught that in your defensive third, you took zero risks.

It's cost Spurs at least three games this season and now it's bitten City on the muscat.

I said earlier in the thread that this season reminds me of 2016, where most of the traditional challengers are having problems for one reason or another and one completely lucky, totally arsey, kissed on the grenache team manages to get very few injuries and suspensions, gets most of the refs decisions and scrambles to the title ;-)

Results looking very ordinary, could be their worst season in living memory. I blame the World Cup timing. ;-)

I doubt it, some of us have been alive for a long time

It does seem that, without VVD, their defenders are very ordinary at defending.

This years league was always Man City’s to lose and fair play, they do seem to be making a decent fist of that.

I think he's worried that the battle for tenth spot might come down to goal difference

Ex Millwall Harry Kane joins the 200 club ( football only began in 1992 you know) and beats Jimmy Greaves as top goalscorer ever for spurs.

Looks like even the Premier League want the Goons to win it this year
Manchester City have been charged by the Premier League with more than 100 alleged breaches of financial regulations.

Excellent. Does that mean those who finished runners-up when they won the league will get the biscuits?
We can go from 10th to 9th now too! Yay! :P

If we win it & it's a big If, we will win it on our own accord.. these findings / charges will not be finalised by the end of the current season, so any sanctions / point deductions will apply in future seasons... therefore, even the Spuds could finally get closer to winning it ;-)

Five points clear of the cheats AND a game in hand.

BTW with Chelsea having spent more than the Italian, French & German leagues combined in the January transfer window, will they too be investigated like the cheating Citizens?

Will they also keep an eye on Saudi-Newcastle?

We live in a capitalist world. I couldn't care less if someone "overspends". A person should be able to spend his money however they want to.

That's a different discussion (I agree with you on this one) - but the rules are there and they shouldn't be able to get away with breaking them.
