2030 World Cup: Spain, Portugal & Morocco the Co-Hosts

Post by Con M »

FIFA has announced the above 3 Nations as Co-Hosts for the 2030 World Cup.

FIFA has also announced that the first 3 matches will be held in South America to mark the centenary of the World Cup which was first held in 1930 in Montevideo Uruguay 🇺🇾, before the 48-team Tournament moves to Spain 🇪🇸, Portugal 🇵🇹 and Morocco 🇲🇦.

The 48 team idea will mean more of this in future, sadly. Good luck trying to organise watching your team, or others of interest without costing an arm or a leg.

I haven't watched the world cup since 2006. This means that's unlikely to change.

The groups can get more like training runs, with teams like Australia in there, but the later stages are still good ;-)
