Cup

Post by brushmancity »

Watched a good game last night at Argana Park between The Downs and Pirates. First time I’ve been to watch The Downs in 4 years and was really impressed with some of the football played by both sides. Tony Parisi continues the production of good coaches at The Downs after Alan Mottram. The only downside was the booking of 3 or 4 players for what I think was backchat to the ref by Downs players. Good luck to both sides in the upcoming season. Honourable mention to 51 years(?)old Nathan Day coming on in the 87th minute and first touch was to nutmeg his opponent and also to Ben McMullen coming on and scoring a goal.

Greek Easter, low div teams not being that excited about Cups, illness outbreaks, and 2 Saturday clubs being asked to play on a Sunday were probably all contributing factors.
