The mind games for this fixture (or at least the run-up to it) was started weeks ago by Rodgers and Clement seems to be feeling the heat. Though Celtic are far from infallible, I think they have more in their locker than Rangers. Anything but a win for Rangers will end their hopes and even a draw for Celtic should be enough. In theory a three point cushion should be enough over the last two games. If it goes to six, Rangers can forget the title and concentrate on the Scottish Cup final.

I think it will be filled with plenty of incidents but hoping VAR will NOT be required- seems like this has as much chance as it raining in Adelaide! I fancy a few goals- Celtic to win 4-2. Come on the Hoops!

I'll take that result in a heartbeat. Love Celtics match last week. Celtic defense still worries me apart from Joe Hart.

Celtic totally dominated and the Rangers send-off didn't help . The Ranger goal was a typical defensive lapse that Celtic have been guilty of against the play. Another missed penalty The title is theirs unless something crazy happens.

Pretty good short summary of the game. Yet again Celtic were very wasteful in front of goal and lost another sloppy one (just as you said). On chances Celtic should have scored at least four or five but I would have settled for the three points prior to a ball being kicked, so no complaints.

The league is over even though Celtic could potentially lose at Kilmarnock (personally think they will get a point to officially become champions). If not, they will secure it the following week v St. Mirren at home. This also depends on how Rangers
do, but that really won't matter one iota.

Half time: Kilmarnock 0 Celtic 3. Unless something drastic happens Sevco aren't going to win a second title this year.

Celtic confirmed as Champions for third season in a row with a convincing 5-0 victory away to Kilmarnock.

I reckon Rodgers should give players such as O'Riley, Carter- Vickers and Maeda a rest on Saturday (St. Mirren at Celtic Park) in preparation for the Scottish Cup Final v Rangers the following week. In my opinion not worth risking an injury when it is a dead rubber game so to speak.

Any way you look at it, Rodgers deserves the plaudits by the leadership shown to the players and staff when crunch time came. He has the required experience and know-how when it comes to the pointy end of the season.

If Celtic apply themselves in the correct manner and continue to show their professionalism, I would expect them to be too strong for Rangers a week come Saturday.

If however they slip up- expect the usual critic on this forum to show his football expertise by stating (again) that Rodgers can't coach!

Oops- me bad. But it was a 'double' so maybe a deliberate mistake! All's well that ends well.

Can't deny that Celtic were well below par and had to battle all the way. The penalty shout for handball? For me there would be no complaints if it was given as the arm was out and away from the body. That said we got a break with their disallowed goal, though VAR clearly showed a push in Hart's back by Raskin. Liam Scales got away with a couple of pushes in the back which were missed by the officials.

Poor game and puzzling that only Celtic players were slipping all over the park. For me, Hatate was woeful and wasteful in midfield and he just seemed to struggle. That aside, the record books will only show Celtic won the Scottish Cup and the performance becomes insignificant.

What it does show (the performance) is that Celtic need to recruit well to stay ahead of our fierce rivals, particularly that Hart and possibly O'Riley are leaving. I would sign Idah on a permanent deal but knowing Celtic they won't be prepared to shell out the money to secure him.
