Maguire is rubbish. And Grealish is just a poor man’s version of Saka, so predictable coming inside off the left. And untidy with socks at half-mast with kid-size shinpads. Dunno what master Manager Pep sees in him.

ps, what’s this about Carsley not singing “God Save The King”? Hasn’t he seen how other Managers and players belt out their anthem with real gusto?

Surely time for England to play Palmer as the number 10.

England has plenty of choices for midfield and attack however in defense options are limited due to injuries and lack of game time for some players.

Personally, much as I rate Kane, he's not going to be around for much longer at International level, so why not start now and put Foden and Palmer in tandem up front with Saka right and Gordon or Eze on the left?

Personally, I'd pick Wharton in the middle over some of the others, but I suspect we'll end up with Bellingham.

IMO the 10 position requires vision and spatial awareness above all else, then the technical ability to implement that vision and I really don't think Bellingham has either. He's not a passing player that creates space and time for others, he takes it from them.

Surely Palmer should be the number 10 and I bring Wharton to play as the defensive midfield spot next to Rice.

Wow the reality is that with so few English managers in the EPL where do the FA turn? Other than Eddie Howe the other English managers in EPL are at teams at the bottom end of the table.

Looks like the FA think they have the depth in talent to have a serious challenge for the WC in 2026 and have rolled the dice on a proven winner with big club sides.
