MODBURY SETS NEW GOAL FOR JUNIOR SOCCER
Wednesday 5th July 2006

As Australian soccer goes from strength to strength on the world scene, local BEST Super League side Modbury Soccer Club, is looking to cement it’s own future by expanding its coaching team.

The Club is set to appoint its first Coaching Director in order to drive Modbury’s recently launched junior soccer development program and deliver the Club a new generation of Super League players.

According to Modbury’s Super League Coach, Duane Gray, the new role aims to maximise the potential of the club’s existing junior players and also identify other talented players in the northern area and bring them into the game at the highest level.

The ideal candidate for Coaching Director will have an extensive background in soccer coaching, high performance management skills and the ability to interact with and motivate our younger players,â€￾ said Duane.

“This new coaching appointment underlines our commitment and belief that Modbury Soccer Club will play a long-term and valuable role in the development of the north’s next generation of young soccer players.â€￾

Modbury’s junior players are already attracting great interest, with many chosen for state and national squads, including 6 players from the Club’s Under 12 and Under 13 teams who have been selected to play in the South Australian State team competing in the national soccer championships being currently held in Sydney.

The only Super League side in Adelaide’s outer northern region, Modbury Soccer Club will be advertising for its new Coaching Director position in late July.
