The facilities at Park B27 are below par, no way suitable for u17s level. I can't believe that at u17A level they are still playing games at this venue. Its a disgrace, what I remember of it the quality of pitch is poor, just the whole set up is a joke.

After reading several posts regarding the W Adelaide v C City game. It sounds like the referee has once again destoryed another match, similar things occured in the city v abe match. The quality of refereeing is frankly crap, whether the FFSA is to blame for this all the people that do it are at fault, i don't know.

The disappointing aspect is the inconsistency, if one side is getting cards, free kicks, penalties and the other team is receivng nothing then people start becoming aggravated against the ref, this is when words such as 'cheating' and 'corruption' can come into play.

Comets A's game was cancelled due to plympton pulling out of entire season so therefore 3-0 win for a's. B's won 6-4 against toros b's in a fast tempo match

To the Campbelltown people complaining about today's referee i'll add one thing to that. If it was it Richco doing the game today then yes Campbelltown would of won but "unfortunately" we had a "neutral" referee.
  That's funny!!! Enrico favours the teams Campbelltown are playing or the ones that just play the game.

And there was nothing "neutral" about today's Ref at West Adelaide - Cambpelltown U17s. He let the WA GK handle the ball outside the area, like 10m in front of him. Then he grabbed the Striker's ankles which tripped him and still no penalty or free let alone a send off. He gave WA's first penalty for a handball when it clearly wasn't. Campbelltown's left back was very obviously taken out late on and the infringing player didn't get a card for that. The African player at the back should have been sent off - twice - if not the first half, then definitely late in the second. He was far from "neutral".

But hey, West Adelaide got through - well done. It can't be changed now. Good luck.

I agree - B27 is an absolute disgrace for 17A level. No fences, not a decent playing surface, and the changerooms smelled horrible from what I heard. It is a joke - a bad one.

And I believe you have hit the nail squarely on the head there - inconsistency. This is the biggest problem. Not only with today's match, but many junior matches as well. Be consistent, and you won't be accused of favouritism or cheating. It really is quite simple. If you're going to be a shit ref, then be shit all the time. Not just to one team.

i think there should be restrictions of how bad a ground can be for players should have better playing surfaces.

Seems that fences are a requirement for some clubs, but not for others.

I was under the impression that fences, ground stewards, AND official refs were all compulsory for Under 17 matches.

Comet's 17's pitch not fully fenced last year. Neither was South Adelaide's. Not sure about Gawler either and I'm sure there are others. Another Micky Mouse policy.

The question is Why did they change the rule if so???

I thought with a fenced pitch it stops parents running on to the pitch, and is a safe distance from the parents and the playing area.

Comet's over the past couple of years, they used to get construction fencing(that orange crap) with metal stakes and put it along the playing field, it was pathetic but at least they made a substitute of having a fence. Park 27B shokcing ground and no fence, South Adelaide, small pitch and no fence, I say the federation must clamp down on clubs with no fences, because doesnt South Adelaide first team also play down where the juniors play??

Seems like the FFSA has changed the fencing rules to accommodate the poorer teams in the Western Suburbs like Comets,West Adelaide and Cobras not sure about Olympic. Regardless of what opposing teams are saying the players of these teams deserve better. Maybe the FFSA could offer Santos stadium at least to these 17s sides to play their home matches or is it only contracted to the SASI girls ? Officials from these Western Clubs should approach the FFSA and demand access to these facilities. Players enjoy night games. Maybe they can be rostered for these teams for the remainder of the season.

loved toros first goal

defender thumps the ball into the striker and deflects straight into the back of the net, the poor keeper almost got to it though!
