On Saturday lunchtime, they face West Ham at Old Trafford, a game from which Alex Ferguson is expecting nothing less than three points.
Their respective form certainly indicates why the United manager can be confident.
The Red Devils have been in hot form in front of goal this season, scoring in each of their last 22 Premier League games. Only Aston Villa are on a longer scoring run, 24 games.

On the other hand, West Ham have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 games and have lost four of their last five games on the road, hardly auspicious signs as they prepare to face Manchester Utd.
All doom and gloom then for the Green Street faithful?
Not necessarily, this season, Reading and Manchester City – hardly high-flyers - have managed to pick up points from Old Trafford.
Also, if we look at the recent history between the two clubs, West Ham will be confident of getting something from their trip.
The Hammers have beaten Manchester Utd in their last three league encounters.
Last season, Alan Curbishley’s men managed to avoid another relegation with a Carlos Tevez winner at Old Trafford.
In fact, their clashes are as tight as they come - the last five meetings between the two sides have all been won by a one-goal margin.
Another positive - Manchester Utd have only lost one game after going ahead this season – that was at Upton Park back in December.
Finally, despite going down 4-0 in three consecutive games in March, West Ham have shown resilience this season, winning four games after trailing. Only Arsenal and Blackburn have done better.
