Birkalla 2 - Cumberland 2 after extra time. Some cracking saves.
Cumberland won the penalty shootout - the Birkalla keeper saved one but the Cumberland keeper saved 2. All shots were on target so it was a keeper's game and a darned exciting game to watch.

Birkalla 11 - Cobras 0
Birks had it all over the Cobras from the start and played some brilliant football in the first half (9-0 at half time). Not surprisingly, they backed off a bit in the second half and let the Cobras back into the game a little.

Both teams play again next week in the league, this time at Cobra's home. Be interesting to see what happens.

umm...i wouldnt quite say that.. but both teams had there chances.... salsibury dominated first half.. and abe dominated second half.. very intense last ten minutes for both teams... abe should have made the most of their chances...

?????????? I have a mate who's boy plays at Comets, he said that the 17 A's went to play at Para Hills against the 16's because most of the team were eligible, had not played in the cup yet, so they were not Cup tied and if they lost ( which they did ) could still play for the 17's team that progressed to the quarter finals.

Pretty smart thinking really, with this new Cup program it is possible to "PLOT" your way ahead if you can.
