TTG v FULHAM - FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 25TH
Should be a cracking game this Friday night at the Gullies ground.
Conditions will be ideal by the looks of it - cold but no rain or wind.
A's to kick off at 8pm.
B's to kick off at 6.45pm.

I could go to three games this weekend !
I shan't think Mrs. Glimt should approve, but I'll see what happens.

The big question about this game is....
Will the pizza truck be there again????

Pity this will clash with Modbury v Ad City. Would have been good to catch up with the Hass and Mickey Krollig.

Re: TTG v FULHAM - FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 25TH
TTG 3 - 5 Fulham
An entertaining game to watch as a goal was scored within the first 5-10 minutes. and then an almost immediate reply from Gully. I thought that neither team defended well at all and some comical defending certainly cost gully one goal. Fulham also scored a pen for super coach 'bringing down' a player in the box. In my opinion a very soft Pen.
Gully took it up to them in the second half after some interesting half time comments from super coach. But just when gully got back to 3-4 Fulham scored again to kill them off.
All in all an interesting game to watch in the freezing cold, poor defender rather than great attacking determined the game.
Once again a healthy crowda and well done to Gully for the initiative....
PS Micky Krollig was a big loss for the team.....

Re: TTG v FULHAM - FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 25TH
It must be something about playing at night that gives defenders the giddies. Last game i saw TTG play Raptors and again the goals were scored from defensive blunders. Apart from the cold last night, it was good from a sepctators point of view to see 8 goals scored in a game of soccer. Neither team asserted themselves on the other and it just came down to which team would take thier chances on the night. I was on the side where the penalty was given and thought it was there to be given but if the whistle wasn't blown you could forgive the ref for not seeing it as he was some 20 yards away.GULLY BOYZ wrote:Would go along with that Monkey Boy

Personally, I think a draw would've been fair with both defences having a night to forget.

Good win considering Fulham were missing 16 regular first team players.

Great effort from the Fulham keeper - I think he played both games, quite an effort considering A/B game overlapped by 15 mins - if so, top effort!

PS: The Fulham Keeper also came out wearing a black and red horizontal striped shirt, prompting taunts of Dennis The Menace; Freddy Kruger; QPR Away Kit - Any others..... ???

He is a good mate and I have been trying to convince him to come out of retirement for the last 8 years - he used to keep at a reasonably high level. Yes - he is registered with us and it was his second (and third) game counting B's then A's on friday night.
The poor fella is sore all over - but is glad he made the comeback although I think he passed a comment along the lines of 'I didn't sign up for this' after the A's game - the pain had kicked in by then.
Also to the fruit enquiring about one of our lads in the B's - why do you want to know his name? - was it that he was much better than you on the night and you just wanted to congratulate him?
