And why do the three names you mentioned deserve their success?? From when i was last there they were B's players?
I think you will find the core group of first team players along with a decent coach got the Vikings to the top.

Them moving to saturday may not enable a third team from your division to be promoted. They are now to the relegation zone and should they be relegated and chose to move to saturday then the two clubs in the bottom two:Made in Australia wrote:PUMAS, PLEASE MOVE TO SATURDAY!!!
1. Pumas move to saturday
2. Relegated to division three

Two teams promoted from division three
Three teams promoted from division four to division three
If Pumas don't finish in the bottom two and move to saturday then three divsion three clubs promoted to balance the numbers.

Bodo with what's going on with the whole SASF proposed new Amateur League & the existing Amateur league could have a huge affect as to who gets promoted and relagated in most of the divisions

Re: ADELAIDE VIKINGS DIV 3 CHAMPIONS 2008
Possibly... but how many clubs do you think will jump ship?
Re: ADELAIDE VIKINGS DIV 3 CHAMPIONS 2008
Not sure but we might be one of them, we are associated with Campbelltown so it depends on what our committe decide to do, if we decide not to go with Campbelltown then i would assume we are left without a ground and their amateur team would come in

Congrats to the Vikings! Well deserved champions. Enjoyed a couple of tough games over the season, hopefully we can do battle again next year!

I wasn't sure if you had a direct association or just used their ground, although when I was talking to Cluade Buchella a few weeks back he did have some knowledge of both teams.BADA BING wrote:Not sure but we might be one of them, we are associated with Campbelltown so it depends on what our committe decide to do, if we decide not to go with Campbelltown then i would assume we are left without a ground and their amateur team would come in

yeah congrats to king eric ballbags and co...you were the most consistant all year but you whined and bitched about everything you could in your only loss to date and left your rubbish everywhere and left like a crossbred mut with its tail between its legs after the game..... goodbye and good ridence ..... oh and dont forget in your signiature that vikings raped and pillaged and were the filthiest scum of the earth rather than building them up to be some kind of heroes....

Re: ADELAIDE VIKINGS DIV 3 CHAMPIONS 2008
Thanks for the kind words there handy man. We aspire to be as good as you one day with your clubs history but we know we are a long way from that. I am glad I made the effort to congratulate each one of your players after the game and said that they showed alot of heart and character in their win. Perhaps we didnt have a good day Sunday but thats a day in a long season. You have a bit of work still to do this Sunday with a tough trip to Munno Para, good luck.Handy_man wrote:yeah congrats to king eric ballbags and co...you were the most consistant all year but you whined and bitched about everything you could in your only loss to date and left your rubbish everywhere and left like a crossbred mut with its tail between its legs after the game..... goodbye and good ridence ..... oh and dont forget in your signiature that vikings raped and pillaged and were the filthiest scum of the earth rather than building them up to be some kind of heroes....
The signature is merely a defitnition, not trying to promote anything.

Congratulations to the Vikings. I knew after they we're unfortunately relegated last season that they would be straight back up into Division 2.
Just a question to the Viking boys out there did you lose a heap of players when you come down from Division 1 & then picked up a few for this season? Either way it's an excellent season!

Re: ADELAIDE VIKINGS DIV 3 CHAMPIONS 2008
Thanks for the Congrats Ronnie#10, to answer your question, I suppose the year we were relegated from Div 1 the club was Royal Park, the club collected a single point for the season and the entire committee left at seasons end. A group of players picked up the pieces in the off season and formed the Adelaide Vikings, the first year (div 2) was a struggle, lost a few players from the dismal season the year before and the committee had a huge task establishing something from scratch. With a season under their belts, much more established this year and consistent results were acheived.Ronnie#10 wrote:Congratulations to the Vikings.
