New FFA Coach Education structure for 2007 onwards
Friday, 15 December 2006
From January 1st, 2007, Coach Education in Australia will be conducted under a new framework.
There will be TWO coach education pathways for aspiring coaches to choose from, the COMMUNITY PATHWAY or the ADVANCED PATHWAY.

This new system is a result of Australia’s acceptance as a member of AFC (The Asian Football Confederation) and our desire to offer high-performance Coach Education courses.
A, B and C Certificate courses will be offered in Australia from next year onwards, and will effectively replace FFA’s old ‘State’ and ‘National’ Licences. These courses will be approved by AFC and will be conducted by FFA in Australia. (Advanced coaches will be pleased to note that AFC accreditation is recognised as equivalent by UEFA, Europe’s governing body.)
