Re: Man United VS Chelsea
In the build-up to the Champions League final the focus is on whether Manchester United or Chelsea will lift the trophy. But one trend that has gone somewhat unnoticed is that this will be the third season in a row that an English club has been defeated in the Champions League final, a new record for consecutive losses.
Last season when Liverpool were beaten by AC Milan it was the eighth time a country had suffered two consecutive defeats in Europe’s showpiece game, and the first time it had happened to England. Italy have suffered this fate six times, most recently in 1997-1998 when Juventus lost to Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid respectively.
It has happened to Spain twice but now English sides have set a new benchmark and with the current strength of the Premier League, the chances are there will be at least one English team in next year’s final in Rome too, so the trend could well continue for a fourth year.

Does makalele every stop whinging! i hope someone gives him a studs to the mouth.
ronaldos header was all class, he is having a decent game, finally showing up in a bigger fixture.
cashley cole should have been booked for diving.
The condition of the turf could have played a big part in Van Der Sars slip.
Gonna be a intense second half.
