Thanx for the late notice......
What was the final score - any other premier league results lads..?
0 - 0 in a pretty entertaining game. Very open game with lots of chances at both ends. Stirling were up for it but Villa were obviously just going through the motions & had a few players missing. Conditions were difficult with the pitch still being waterlogged.

Stirling V Adelaide Villa
B's - no game
A's 0-0

Stirling came to play, all game were harassing our players and if it was not for the BIG GALEY between the sticks, should of won the game.
Even the stirling keeper pulled off some great saves, but B>OG definitely to the keeper for the mighty AV!!!!

AV were still suffering from their back to back premiership hangover, never really looked like turning up to play.

Great effort from the lads at stirling, based on that game deserve to b in div1 next year

From the newspaper:

4A: Brahma Lodge 0-1 Flinders (2)
6C: Torrens Valley 2-0 Southern Breakers

Congratulations Torrens Valley who are Champions.

Flinders (2) move into second in Division 4 and will be promoted if Red/Blue Eagles don't beat Hahndorf. Our C Grade team are promoted and should be crowned Champions of Division 4.

Villa are definitely in holiday mode, I don't think too many of their players managed to break into a jog. You guys look like such a different team without Dom Musci in the side.

Take nothing away from stirling though, they played well and played like they had it all on the line (which essentially they did). If Stirling had of buried even half of the good chances they created it would have been ugly.

No B grade game played
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

Cheers. We got the lead early and looked fairly comfortable throughout, but Handorf fought till the end and scored goals at times that kept it interesting. We hit the post about 4 times which was frustrating, but all worked out in the end and that is promotion earnt!

Division Three. Mt Barker (possibly) and McClaren Vale (confirmed) are getting relegated.

If Torrens Valley are really entering Division 4 next season, would mean trips to Mt Barker, McClaren Flat, Birdwood, Greenock, and Strathalbyn for the city-based teams

SAASL should issue out petrol cards for Div 3 next season.

In saying that though it'd be a great league, yeah the travelling would suck at times but good bonding sessions for the clubs.

If Hahndorf lose both their remaining games, then you will have us in the mix too!!

18th Sept. Div 6
Southern Breakers 1 Flinders Uni 1

Over 35's Friendly: Breakers 5 Elizabeth Downs 6
Most of the Downs boys stayed in Victor last night, so hopefully they're not too hungover for the drive home.

Which division?

The div 5 match didn't go ahead, because whoever organised and confirmed on Hahndorf's end forgot to tell the coach and players... :?
