As soon as people accept that if you poke the bear, you will be banned, the better.

Discussions about bans are fruitless.

Should punishments not be a deterrent as well as a punishment. People should be educated to know what they have done wrong and what others have done wrong. Then maybe people will learn rather than not actually know what they've done wrong.
